Alaska United States Senator Lisa Murkowski supports the Democrats’ “Get Trump” tactics. In late March 2024, Murkowski informed CNN that she might leave the GOP over President Trump becoming the party’s nominee. Murkowski cited debunked talking points from the January 6th Committee as her reasoning for not supporting Trump. In May, January 6th Committee Ranking Member Bennie Thompson falsely told Loomer Unleashed that the January 6th Committee provided their deleted communications with Fulton County DA Fani Willis to the House Select Committee on Oversight. In April, Fulton County DA Willis refused to answer Laura Loomer’s questions regarding her refusal to provide her communications with the January 6th Committee to the House Judiciary Committee. Last winter, J6 Committee Member Jamie Raskin said Loomer Unleashed needed “deprogramming” after we asked him why the J6 Committee had not handed over their deleted communications with Fani Willis. Last week, Fulton County DA Fani Willis was ordered by Fulton County Superior Court to release her communications with the January 6th Committee. It’s shameful that Murkowski is using false talking points from proven liars to justify her Trump hate. Murkowski taking talking points from the J6 Committee makes it unsurprising that Murkowski is having a difficult time supporting President Trump’s nominees.
Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski informed CNN in late March 2024 that she was debating leaving the Republican Party because Trump had become the GOP’s nominee. Murkowski used false talking points from the January 6th Committee to justify her hate of Trump, saying, “I don’t think it can be defended. What happened on January 6th was an effort by people who stormed the Congress to stop the election to stop it. I wish as Republicans, we had a nominee I could get behind. I just regret that our party has become the party of Donald Trump.”
The reality is that the 2020 election was never in danger of “being stopped,” like what Murkowski and her January 6th Committee friends claim. President Trump requested the National Guard be at the United States Capitol on January 6th. Then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi turned Trump’s request down. The January 6th Committee hid a video of Nancy Pelosi taking “responsibility ” for January 6th from the public.
January 6th Committee Member Jamie Raskin became enraged after Loomer Unleashed asked him, “Did you not hand over your deleted communications because there were more tapes like Nancy Pelosi’s saying J6 was her fault? Is that why you won’t hand them over? You don’t want the American public to see the truth?”
Raskin, “No.. You are delusional. So good luck with all of your problems.”
Loomer Unleashed, “I don’t have any problems, sir. You are the one with problems. “
Raskin, “Go back to your job.”
Loomer Unleashed: “My job is trying to figure out where those deleted J6 Communications went. There is a video of Nancy Pelosi saying J6 was all her fault. The video does not lie, Congressman.”
The January 6th Committee also lied about refusing to hand over their deleted communications with Fulton County DA Fani Willis. J6 Committee Ranking Member Bennie Thompson gave us a false answer after we asked him, “So why hasn’t the J6 Committee followed through and handed over the deleted communications with Fani Willis?”
In an attempt to play dumb, Thompson said, “Who?”
Loomer Unleashed: “Fani Willis, y’all deleted your communications, and the House Oversight has asked for the communications, and you have not provided it to them yet.”
Thompson then falsely stated, “Well, as far as I know, everything has been provided.”
On December 5, the House Select Committee on Oversight wrote to J6 Committee Chair Bennie Thompson, “According to public reporting, the Select Committee shared records with Ms. Willis. The Select Committee provided ‘Fulton County prosecutors…key evidence about what former President Trump and his top advisers knew’ with respect to Georgia’s 2020 election results.5 However, there are no records of any additional communication between the Select Committee and Ms. Willis and her office. Therefore, we have no records showing what the Select Committee actually provided her office.”

Senator Murkowski’s embrace of false “Get Trump” talking points raises significant questions about her current difficulties in supporting Trump’s nominees. Hopefully, Murkowski can put those questions to rest by supporting President Trump’s nominees.
