“Independent” Nebraska U.S. Senate candidate Dan Osborn journeyed to Washington, D.C., this week to attend the Independent National Convention. His presence must have come as a surprise to all the actual independents there, as Osborn’s past statements and policies show that he is no independent. His political history looks eerily similar to that of any other elected Democrat or candidate currently running for office.
As Osborn made his way down the escalator, a great metaphor for his campaign, Loomer Unleashed bluntly asked him:
“Hey Dan, will you apologize to Trump voters for saying their lives f—ing suck?”
Naturally, Osborn did not apologize and instead turned his head in an attempt to avoid the camera. It is quite terrible that Osborn rejected his chance to apologize for his hateful remarks, as a full readout of what Osborn said is essentially him making the argument that Americans who do not live in blue cities live awful lives. This would have been a particularly valuable time to apologize, given that almost 60% of Nebraskans are Trump voters:

A partial readout of his full quote reads:
“He’s (Trump) been so effective at taking Billy Bob and his wife Mary Jane or Mary Jo, telling them, look, we’re winning. You’re on the winning team. And that’s all they care about, because their lives probably suck so f—ing bad.”
Osborn’s hatred of Trump supporters’ quality of life, which has inarguably been eroded by globalization over the last 20 years, comes off eerily similar to Hillary Clinton’s infamous 2016 “basket of deplorables” remarks:
“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic — you name it.”
Lowering the discourse in our country even further, Osborn has built quite a history of dropping the f-bomb while making remarks that elected Democrats would normally say, as Osborn once proclaimed his support for trans rights by saying:
“I can go and I can be the voice for LGBTQ and, and immigration and all of these issues. Then I lose an election. And, and, yeah. And so, at the end of the day, and then I’ll be the senator for six years and everybody else can f— off.”
Osborn also loves to drop f-bombs when disparaging ICE, once saying:
“I have people recording me so I can’t say I want to abolish ICE, I can’t say those words. I’ll be f—ked.”
Of course, the Democrat apparatus is supporting Osborn’s run for the US Senate, as Nebraska’s DNC Chair Jane Fleming Kleeb posted to X in 2025:
“We are supporting Dan Osborn. We believe a coalition of Dems, Indys and Republicans can beat Ricketts and break up the one-party rule. We like the odds of a mechanic vs a billionaire.”

This comes as Chuck Schumer’s Senate Majority PAC previously poured money into Osborn’s failed 2024 U.S. Senate run.
The facts are obvious: Dan Osborn is a fake independent. He’s a far-left Democrat, and if Nebraska voters are properly informed of this fact, then GOP U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts will win re-election by a corn-husking landslide.

It’s talk like that, that gets people hurt.
