EXCLUSIVE: Islamic Animal Abuse In Florida Now Under Criminal Investigation Following Laura Loomer’s Reporting

Days after Laura Loomer’s viral reporting about an undercover video that captured disgusting animal abuse and animal torture at Ali Meat International, a Muslim Halal slaughterhouse in Orlando, Florida, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) has exclusively confirmed to Loomer in writing that the FDACS “Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement currently has an active and ongoing criminal investigation” into Ali Meat International.

The horrific undercover video of Muslim ritual animal sacrifice was taken last year at a halal slaughterhouse called Ali Meat International in Orlando, Florida (located at 1616 S. Dean Rd in Orlando, FL), during the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha, which literally means “Feast of the Sacrifice.”

The video shows children and paying customers at Ali Meat sawing through live animals’ throats and slaughterhouse staff electro-shocking animals and allowing animals like lambs, goats, and cows to suffer in pain.

Following Loomer’s reporting, lawmakers including Florida State Representative Meg Weinberger, Florida Senator Rick Scott and Florida Congressional Representatives Randy Fine and Anna Paulina Luna spoke out.

Federal law and Florida state law require that animal slaughter be “humane,” but the videos show Ali Meat repeatedly sawing a living animal’s throat as many as 15 times, and even walking around on piles of suffering, bleeding animals.

Islamic halal slaughter requires that animals are fully conscious when killed while Muslims yell “Allahu Akbar” and recite Islamic prayers over the animal as it’s dying.

That’s literally what Sharia Law and the Quran require for meat to be certified as halal.

Ali Meat International, which is run by Mohammad Razzaq and Kalsoom Razzaq according to state records, is a USDA-registered slaughterhouse, and these are obvious violations of Florida’s animal cruelty laws, the Florida Humane Slaughter Act, and the federal Humane Methods of Slaughter Act.

Last year, requests for investigation and prosecution of Ali Meat were sent to woke Democrat Florida State Attorney Monique Worrell, Orange County Sheriff John Mina, Theon Linero of Orange County Animal Services’ Enforcement Division and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Wilton Simpson’s office.

However, Ali Meat hasn’t been punished, is still open for business, and is still offering ritual sacrifice of animals during the Islamic slaughtering festival of Eid al-Adha despite its abuses during the same “holiday” last year.

In May, one Muslim Florida supermarket called Apna Bazaar Orlando (located at 9404 S Orange Blossom Trl, Orlando, FL) advertised orders through Ali Meat by claiming slaughter would be conducted “professionally” and “humanely.” Its advertisement declared, “ALL SLAUGHTERING IS DONE IN-HOUSE AT ALI MEAT,” while warning customers that orders “DO NOT COME WITH FEET, STOMACH, TRIPE, OR HEADS.”

Until now, federal and state officials have continued to allow Ali Meat to operate despite a long track record of federal violations and customer complaints.

In 2021, USDA inspectors suspended operations at Ali Meat after witnessing an employee throw a conscious lamb against a metal fence. The lamb reportedly bounced off the fence and landed on its side on concrete.

Ali Meat was cited again in 2024 after a failed attempt to stun a calf. USDA inspection data stated that the establishment did not have a “robust, systematic approach to humane handling.”

Google reviews show that members of the public were also raising alarms years ago. One reviewer alleged that goats were abused, writing: “This is not humane in any way shape or form.”

Another Google reviewer wrote “Not halal,” alleging that animals entering the building could see other animals being killed and carcasses “hung up and skinned.” Someone else complained that the facility “smells horrible” and affects nearby neighborhoods.

These reviews noting prolonged, botched killings echo the concerns documented by federal inspectors and other investigators.

Ali Meat International should be permanently shut down and its owners and employees should be criminally charged and, if appropriate, deported, depending on their immigration statuses if they are not U.S. citizens.

Floridians protect animals and punish animal abusers. We also oppose Sharia Law.

No more Islamic ritual animal abuse in Florida!
