It is important to remember: AI is the nuclear arms race of the 21st Century. Nuclear superiority made conventional warfare largely obsolete, giving the United States the ability to dictate international policy after World War II. This golden age, the so-called Pax Americana, created the most prosperous, safe period of time ever known in human history.
However, many of those who have benefited from America’s generosity seek to undermine us – and AI could be the way they do that. Super-intelligent cyberattacks could leave us defenseless, allowing our enemies to run roughshod over us. That’s why the President is pushing so hard for American AI:

Of course, public enemy No. 1 here is China. China has rejected calls to slow down AI development. No surprise there. China wants AI dominance because it will finally give them superiority over the US. China has spent the last 30 years lying, cheating, and stealing to get our technology, but they have never been able to catch up. AI could finally let them do so.
And what’s particularly concerning is how many AI CEOs are willing to cozy up to the Chinese Communist Party. It seems like all of them are on board with selling out, as we have discussed here before.

For years, Washington has worked to choke off China’s access to advanced AI chips. But chips are only one piece of the puzzle. Building cutting-edge AI systems depends on three core elements: compute (chips and data centers), algorithms (the models developed by companies like OpenAI and Anthropic), and data, the specialized training information that teaches AI systems how to perform complex tasks. A growing body of reporting focuses on that third element.
But American companies are happy to supply this to Chinese customers! I miss when Corporate America at least remembered the America part.
Anthropic has done nothing to keep its large-language model Claude out of the hands of the Iranian regime, even when they use it to attack our Navy. As the Navy Times recently reported:
[Iran] used the AI software to collect information that included a list of U.S. service members it had sourced from public military photographs, ship and aircraft transponders — which broadcast a specific code that identifies them — commercial satellite-imagery query scripts that help locate exact geographic visuals, and a breakdown of public websites that track U.S. Navy movements.
The Iranian threat also used Claude to learn more about weaknesses in U.S. Navy shipboard systems that could be exploited.
Back in World War II we said, “Loose lips sink ships.” Apparently, that doesn’t apply to AI! This report came after an Anthropic researcher named Jacob Coxon resigned Tuesday, issuing a scathing X post about the recklessness of Anthropic and OpenAI:
“I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.”
The U.S. military had previously used Anthropic but ended all contracts with the company after it refused to agree to the Pentagon’s terms. If they aren’t working with us, but they will work with our enemies, maybe it’s time to drag them to Gitmo.
Anthropic’s support for terrorism is so out in the open that they brag about it. In Anthropic’s latest report (see here) titled “Detecting and countering misuse of AI: September 2026”, they detail how their Claude system was used to stop a United Arab Emirates operation working against the Muslim Brotherhood.
Although a Muslim country itself, the UAE puts Western countries to shame with its willingness to label the Muslim Brotherhood as a terror threat. All the way back in 2017, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan warned that European political correctness would lead to an explosion of homegrown jihadist terrorism.
At least Anthropic is consistent with their apparent support of terrorism. As reported previously, Anthropic poured $20 million into a 501(c)(4) called Public First Action, which then spun up political action committees designed to influence the 2026 midterm elections. And OpenAI is no better, as they recently hired Chuck Schumer’s daughter, as Democrats insist AI needs to be regulated.
If we’re going to regulate AI, let’s start with those companies giving aid and comfort to our enemies. Anthropic is an anti-American company that is rotten to the core.
