Although Arkansas Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Hallie Shoffner insists that she’s a moderate, it seems like she exposes herself as a far-left radical almost every day. She outed herself again this week when she was quoted in an interview saying she would trade five American workers for one illegal alien.
During an interview with Free Arkansas, Shoffner said:
“Every farmer will tell you, ‘Yeah, at one point, we did, or still do, employ undocumented immigrants,’ and it’s absolutely ridiculous that these folks are being rounded up, because they’re hardworking people, they’re some of the best people we know, and honestly, we’d trade five Americans for just one of them.”
The rant continued with what seems to be Shoffner admitting she has paid illegal immigrants as well:
“Because of how hard they work, and why is it that there’s no pathway for them to work here legally when they’re good workers? We pay them well, they spend money here, they have family here.”
Shoffner then shamelessly stated that she would allow her 7-year-old child to be in the presence of illegal immigrants:
“We’re acting like all Republicans like what’s happening with ICE, and Tom Cotton’s basically saying, ‘You, Andy, if you’re a Republican and you disagree with my position on ICE, or if you’re asking any kind of questions about it, well, you must be anti-American and anti-safety.’ And I’m like, ‘I have a 7-year-old boy, all I think about is safety.’”
In the same interview, Shoffner also disparaged ICE agents by claiming the bulletproof vests they wear are “performative.” As the interview continued, the moderator stated that ICE agents had no reason to dress like SEAL Team Six. She said:
“Seems kind of performative to me. I mean, I know lots of local law enforcement here in Arkansas who, when they go out into the community, and they meet someone, and they do a traffic stop, their immediate response isn’t to suit up with a bulletproof vest and come out guns blazing. We can keep our communities safe and not hurt anybody if we can avoid it. It just doesn’t seem like we’re trying to avoid violence at this point.”
This is an extremely weird answer. For starters, most law enforcement officers wear bulletproof vests as a standard operating procedure, making Shoffner’s answer head-scratching to say the least.
Second, ICE agents arrest some of the most dangerous gang members in the United States today, so yes, ICE agents should be wearing bulletproof vests. It is concerning in a world of widespread left-wing violence – as the recent anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s assassination reminds us – that Shoffner does not understand the threats that ICE agents face every day.
Or maybe she does understand those threats, which is why she wants them to go around unarmored.
As the interview continued, Shoffner also shamelessly lied about her policies, which include support for defunding ICE. Despite Loomer Unleashed having a video of Shoffner saying she wants to defund ICE, Shoffner shamelessly stated:
“Okay, so I think one of the first things is like, ‘Oh, well, she wants to defund ICE.’ Yeah. Which didn’t say that.”
Hallie Shoffner lying about basic immigration policy is yet further proof of how far the left has gone off the rails. Remember that when he was President, former Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton rang the bell on illegal immigration more loudly than any other politician in recent memory outside of Donald Trump.
Arkansas voters can’t trust Hallie Shoffner to be their next United States senator!
