[NOTE: On July 21st, Beltran provided us pictures of what he claims to be updated records of the NYC Board of Elections. The purported documents appear to show that the NYC Board of Elections has amended its records to reflect that Beltran’s father, not Beltran, voted in the November 2025 election. Since the publication of this article, Beltran contacted the NYC Board of Elections and removed himself as an active voter in NYC]
New York-born Florida Republican congressional candidate Mike Beltran has some serious explaining to do.
Records from the state of New York show Beltran has been a registered voter in New York City since 2002 and voted in the 2025 New York City mayoral race. While there were no statewide elections in Florida in 2025, the fact that Beltran may have cast a ballot in another state roughly a year before asking Sunshine State voters to send him to Congress is, at minimum, a bad look.
According to New York City Board of Elections records, Mike Beltran has been registered to vote at a Brooklyn address since 2002. A deeper dive into New York records reveals that Beltran first registered to vote as a member of the Right to Life Party.

Beltran claims he is a registered Republican.
Before the New York City mayoral election, President Trump urged Republicans not to vote for Curtis Sliwa, posting on Truth Social:

Trump had already made clear what a Mamdani win would mean for New York City, writing in an earlier Truth Social post that if “Communist Candidate” Mamdani won, the city would face “ZERO chance of success, or even survival,” and that he would not send “good money after bad” in federal funding to the city as president.
According to Orange County election records, Beltran registered to vote in Florida in 2010 and voted in numerous Orange County elections through 2013.
Beltran was later elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2018 and served until 2024. Searching Florida’s statewide voter database using the information listed on Beltran’s own official Florida House biography page returns a pink error box stating:
“No record found because the record does not exist, is not yet available for lookup, belongs to a preregistered voter and/or is protected pursuant to section 119.071(2), (4), or (5), Florida Statutes. For more information, please contact your county Supervisor of Elections.”

Beltran’s lack of transparency about his Florida voting record raises serious questions. How can Florida Republicans in the 14th congressional district trust Beltran to represent them in Congress? Is he telling the truth about where he is registered to vote and where he has voted?
Maybe that’s why Beltran took to X to seemingly advise independents on how to vote in the upcoming Florida U.S. House primary:
“Lastly, please note that to vote in the Republican Primary, you need to be registered as a Republican. If you are registered as an independent, you will only be allowed to vote for the judges and school board, etc. There is plenty of time to check everything and adjust as needed.”

Beltran’s apparent lingering ties to the state, may help explain why he was the only Florida Republican in the state legislature to vote against funding Florida’s deportation flights, which relocated illegal immigrants out of Florida and into blue states with pro-illegal alien sanctuary city policies, as Loomer Unleashed previously reported.
Mike Beltran’s voting record should make it abundantly clear: he has not earned the right to represent Florida in the United States Congress.
