The House Foreign Affairs Committee is one of the most important committees in Congress, but on Wednesday, Democrats turned it into a circus.
Democrat Representatives Sarah Jacobs and Sarah McBride attempted to ask Secretary of State Marco Rubio “gotcha” questions instead of conducting the serious work of the committee, but they failed miserably.
Rep. Sarah McBride’s attempt to “Get Trump and Rubio” is ironic. McBride refused to answer our correspondent’s questions about condemning nearby pro-open-border riots at the Delaney Hall ICE facility before ordering a staffer to intervene. Hard questions for thee, but not for me.
Once inside the committee hearing, McBride asked Senator Rubio:
“I assume you are aware that Greenland is part of Denmark?”
Rubio responded, “For now,” which immediately wiped the smug grin off McBride’s face.
Rep. McBride seems to be a DEI hire for House Foreign Affairs Committee Democrats. McBride’s experience, as listed on the committee’s official website, says nothing about previous international work, a skill typically required to sit on the powerful House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Instead, McBride’s previous experience reads:
“From 2020-2025, Congresswoman McBride served as State Senator for the First State Senate District. It worked for former Governor Jack Markell and the late Attorney General Beau Biden, and served as the national spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBTQ equal rights organization.”
Rep. Sarah Jacobs also made a fool out of himself, attempting to “Get Trump and Rubio” with questions about who won the 2020 election. Jacobs then began ranting about shoes, to which Rubio responded:
“We’re talking about shoes. Are you guys kidding me? Is this the Foreign Affairs Committee or a circus? What is this?”
Jacobs is unqualified to be on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, in part, because of her personal relationships. Her boyfriend, Ammar Campa-Najjar, once praised his Islamic terrorist grandfather in a now-deleted Instagram post. Najjar wrote:
“In the eyes of many, Yasser Mohammad Alnajjar is the son of a legend, and a hero in his own right.”
Muhammad Yousef al-Najjar was one of the leading Islamic terrorists who helped plan and execute the Munich 1972 terrorist attack, resulting in 11 Israeli athletes being horribly murdered in front of the world.
Jacobs’ foreign policy experience is also horrific. Her official congressional website states that she was “a foreign policy advisor to Secretary Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign.”
Hillary Clinton was arguably the most corrupt Secretary of State and presidential candidate in American history, but Jacobs brags about working for her.
The House Democrats’ prioritization of DEI hiring for their committee assignments is how we got Jacobs and McBride as members of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
If Democrats retake the House in November, their DEI hires will actually have power. And that should scare all Americans.
