In Michigan, the Democrat running for United States Senate, Abdul El-Sayed, is building a campaign defined by anti-Trump conspiracy smears, alignment with Islamist voices, and rhetoric that increasingly mirrors the messaging of America’s foreign adversaries.
This week, El-Sayed announced that far-left commentator Hasan Piker will join him at a University of Michigan rally alongside Democrat Rep. Summer Lee on April 7th. The event brings together three figures who have all pushed variations of the same baseless narrative falsely accusing President Trump and his administration of protecting pedophiles.
These Islamist activists are obsessed with tearing down President Trump and will do anything in their power to lie to destroy his reputation and disrupt his America First policy agenda.
Piker and El-Sayed promote the baseless claim that President Trump launched military action against Iran to distract from the Epstein files, something even the Ayatollah was more than happy to echo in Iranian state media.
In an interview with Democrat operative Tara McGowan, El-Sayed stated:
“The President is trying to distract you. Every time there is something, he goes and tries to kick up some confrontation with some other country — Venezuela, Greenland, now Iran.”
El-Sayed has echoed the same claim across social media, insisting that U.S. foreign policy is being orchestrated as a smokescreen for domestic scandals. The problem is not just that the claim is false. It is that it aligns almost perfectly with the messaging pushed by the Iranian regime itself.
Hasan Piker, who will now share a stage with El-Sayed, has amplified similar narratives while building a following around anti-American rhetoric. Piker has previously stated that the United States “deserved 9/11,” attacked Americans in dehumanizing terms, and promoted extremist commentary that would disqualify most people from any serious political platform.
Following an attempted terrorist attack targeting Jewish preschoolers in Michigan, El-Sayed immediately rationalized the violence through foreign policy grievances.
“A week earlier, an airstrike killed his [the shooter’s] niece and nephew. Imagine if that had never happened,” El-Sayed said.
He then suggested that criticism of the attacker was part of a broader narrative about immigration enforcement:
“They’ll tell us that some people are inherently evil. They’ll tell us that the system of immigration that allowed him to come here should be dismantled.”
In an X post on March 1 post, Piker wrote:
“MAGA are cattle… barely sentient peasant brained losers.”
This is not the language of someone focused on public safety or what’s in the best interest of Michiganders. It is the language of someone more interested in rationalizing acts of terror than confronting them. If you’re a Michigan voter, left, right, or center, this has to be a major red flag. Confronting Islamic jihad is not ideologically driven, it is common sense, especially after the attack in Michigan. But this is something El-Sayed and his allies can never admit, and therefore, will never address.
Rep. Summer Lee has taken the same Trump-Epstein narrative into Congress, introducing articles of impeachment against Attorney General Pam Bondi based on those false claims. Rep. Rashida Tlaib has endorsed El-Sayed’s campaign. Rep. Ro Khanna has pushed similar talking points while refusing to answer basic questions about his own financial ties to Epstein associates. And Rep. Thomas Massie has appeared at events with these Trump-hating Democrats and has even taken donations from Democrats to power his campaign to smear Donald Trump.
All of these officials are coordinating together to destroy Trump, the same way they tried to undermine him during his first term. And if impeachment articles make it out of the House (if Democrats win back the House), for whatever partisan reason Democrats use, El-Sayed would be an automatic “Yes” vote in the Senate. Already, Democrats want to impeach President Trump for enforcing existing immigration laws, something even Democrat presidents have done in the past. Keep in mind that Border Czar Tom Homan has worked for Democrats and Republicans, and he has worked hard in every administration under which he served to deport dangerous, criminal illegal aliens.
El-Sayed’s past also raises serious questions about the national security threat he poses. As I previously reported, during his time as a student, he signed a pledge supporting Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood leader who briefly ruled Egypt before being ousted. Gulf States have recently rejected the Muslim Brotherhood in explicit terms. They blame the West and their insane immigration policies for giving Muslim Brotherhood members safe haven and fertile ground where they can spread their dangerous message.
El-Sayed and his allies, including Reps. Massie, Tlaib, and Khanna, are promoting narratives that echo Iranian/IRGC talking points. El-Sayed is now appearing alongside a commentator who has justified Islamic attacks on America and is a rabid antisemite. His automatic response to acts of terrorism against Jews in Michigan is to shift sympathy away from victims to the attacker. El-Sayed clearly hates Jews and his number one goal is to support Islamists, including those who perpetrate acts of Islamic terror.
Abdul El-Sayed’s Senate campaign is showing exactly what his priorities are and who he supports. At the top of the list are antisemitic Islamists who want to put America last. Let’s hope Michigan voters make the right choice and reject El-Sayed’s dangerous agenda at the ballot box.
