EXCLUSIVE: Pentagon Officials To Appear At Govini Summit Despite Founder’s Child Sex Charges And Trump’s Warning About Anthropic’s Threat To America’s Supply Chain

Next week, senior officials from the Department of War are scheduled to appear at the annual Defense Software & Data Summit at The Anthem on March 10, 2026, hosted by Govini in Washington, D.C. Govini markets itself as a cutting edge analytics firm helping the Pentagon secure its supply chain, but the company and its leadership have deep ties to Barack Hussein Obama’s national security establishment, woke AI company Anthropic, and Leftist and pro-DEI officials and causes. Even worse, Govini’s founder has been credibly accused of pedophilia and is awaiting trial.

Department of War officials planning to attend the event need to rethink the signal they’re sending by appearing at a forum on behalf of a far-left company with an alleged pedophile founder.

Govini’s founder, Eric Troy Gillespie, is currently awaiting trial on felony child sex charges, but key information about the scandal has suspiciously disappeared from the company’s website, which suggests the company is trying to hide who their founder is, and the crimes he allegedly committed. Making matters worse, Ark, the platform that Govini sells to the Pentagon, relies on Anthropic’s technology, which President Trump recently condemned and labeled as a threat to the national security supply chain in a Truth Social post.

Despite these serious concerns, at least twelve high ranking Department of War officials are scheduled to appear at Govini’s conference to publicly endorse the company’s work.

Govini sells data and analytics platforms used by defense agencies to plan acquisitions, evaluate the defense industrial base, and analyze production capacity across the military supply chain. Its flagship software platform, known as “Ark,” is marketed as a core intelligence tool that allows the Department of War to map suppliers, analyze industrial capacity, and track vulnerabilities across the U.S. defense ecosystem.

In April 2025, Govini secured one of the most significant government technology awards in the defense supply chain space. The company was named an awardee on the General Services Administration’s Supply Chain Risk Illumination Professional Tools and Services contract, commonly known as SCRIPTS. The contract runs for ten years and carries a potential value of $919 million, placing Govini directly inside the US government’s infrastructure and giving them a bigger payday than Anthropic!

In November 2025, Govini’s founder and then CEO, Eric Troy Gillespie, was arrested in Pennsylvania and charged with multiple felony counts, including unlawful contact with a minor. The charges stemmed from a child sex sting investigation initiated by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office.

Authorities initially denied Gillespie bail because prosecutors argued he was both a danger to the public and a potential flight risk. However, despite the risk Gillespie posed to the public, he was eventually released after posting a $1 million bail. Court records show the case is moving forward in Pennsylvania, with a Call of the List hearing on March 3, 2026, and a criminal jury trial scheduled to begin on March 23, 2026.

The Department of War should immediately cancel its contract with Govini rather than continue shelling out hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to a company led, until recently, by an accused pedophile.

Shortly after Gillespie’s arrest, Govini issued a public statement announcing his termination. But within months, the company quietly removed that statement from its website. Archived pages (I have the receipts) prove that references to Gillespie’s leadership and even his role as founder of the company have since disappeared from Govini’s public facing materials. Govini is attempting to cover up Gillespie from their company history, but the company was founded in his image, and is thus forever tied to him.

Historical snapshots of Govini’s leadership page reveal the company once had a board filled with prominent national security figures, including former Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Work, former NGA Director Letitia Long, Ambassador C. Boyden Gray, and Admiral James Winnefeld Jr. But, following Gillespie’s arrest, the board rapidly shrank.

By early 2026, public records indicate that Arthur Patterson appears to be the only board member still visible externally, while the company’s leadership page no longer even lists a formal board structure. At the same time, the Pentagon confirmed in November 2025 that it opened an investigation into potential security concerns related to Gillespie and his access to defense systems.

Yet months later, the Department of War has still not publicly disclosed the results of that investigation or whether any security vulnerabilities were identified.

Dougherty has also publicly embraced the kind of toxic diversity ideology (DEI) that the Trump administration has repeatedly warned is undermining the US military’s focus on readiness and war fighting. Remember Secretary Hegseth’s famous speech to America’s generals? There is a very good reason why the Trump administration issued an executive order banning DEI, and why they vowed to hold federal agencies and government contractors accountable if they are found to be in violation of the anti-DEI executive order.

In a public discussion about leadership in national security, Dougherty pointed to Michelle Obama, as well as Angela Merkel and Michelle Flournoy, as a model for leadership and emphasized the importance of diversity hiring initiatives that prioritize women over men in leadership positions. Woke positions may play well in the policy circles of Washington’s national security bureaucracy, but they do not align with the Trump administration’s directive to eliminate DEI programs from the defense establishment – something President Trump’s MAGA base is highly attuned to, because they’ve suffered under the tyranny of DEI and cancel culture for years.

Dougherty’s response, filled with ums and condescension is below:

“Um, I think you can look at somebody also like Michelle Obama and how she was very, very um open as the First Lady and she was very inclusive… And um, going back to the point about the value of diversity, the reason that it’s important is because you bring very different types of perspectives and even uh frames of reference or ways of approaching the world. I think that research has well established that women are um very strong communicators and we uh we always endeavor to find consensus.”

Govini’s Ark platform relies heavily on Claude, the artificial intelligence system developed by Anthropic, creating a direct conflict with the Trump administration’s national security policy. President Trump has publicly warned that Anthropic represents a serious risk to the U.S. government’s technology supply chain. After the company attempted to impose restrictive terms of service on government use of its AI systems in opposition to Operation Absolute Resolve, the raid and capture of Venezuela’s Dictator Nicolas Maduro, as well as publicly opposing the Trump administration’s ICE raids in Minnesota, Trump issued a directive ordering federal agencies to immediately cease using Anthropic technology.

In a statement posted to Truth Social, Trump warned:

“The Leftwing nut jobs at Anthropic have made a DISASTROUS MISTAKE trying to STRONG ARM the Department of War and force them to obey their Terms of Service instead of our Constitution. Their selfishness is putting AMERICAN LIVES at risk, our Troops in danger, and our National Security in JEOPARDY.”

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth reinforced that position, accusing Anthropic of betraying the Pentagon’s trust and warning that the company had demonstrated it could not be relied upon as a trusted Pentagon technology partner.

Last weekend, under withering criticism from the Trump Administration, Anthropic’s CEO, Dario Amodei, took to CBS News to discuss his opposition to President Trump’s directive. In the interview, he claimed he only disagreed with the administration one percent of the time. That is a lie. Anthropic is essentially attempting to hold hostage the ability of the Trump Administration to use AI to support critical systems inside the United States and externally. Anthropic had their chance to provide the Department of War with the level of service it needed to maintain their systems, and they blew it. Instead, their CEO vented on national television and appeared unable to answer basic questions about US national security, proving that Anthropic is in fact a Woke AI company as President Trump masterfully pointed out in his post on Truth Social.

Despite the stated supply chain risk posed by Anthropic, Govini’s platform continues to integrate Anthropic’s Claude AI into the very systems the Pentagon uses to analyze its supply chain. That means a technology the Trump administration has already identified as a supply chain risk is now embedded inside a platform designed to monitor the defense supply chain itself.

Unsurprisingly, Govini’s CEO Tara Dougherty, along with Louis Bergeron, Govini’s Vice President, both donated money to radical left Democrats across the country to grease the wheels for a fat government contract, which Joe Biden gave the company. Federal Election Commission records reveal that Dougherty donated to anti-Trump Democrat Senators Mazie Hirono and Elissa Slotkin while listing Govini as her employer. Govini’s Vice President Louis Bergeron has donated to Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, and ActBlue, which directly ties Govini’s senior company leadership to the Democratic political fundraising network.

This is Govini’s image today:

  • A defense contractor whose founder is awaiting trial on felony child sex charges.
  • A Pentagon investigation whose results remain undisclosed.
  • A leadership team tied to Obama era national security policy networks.
  • A platform built on top of Anthropic AI, which the Trump administration has already identified as a national security risk.

At a moment when the Pentagon is trying to secure America’s defense industrial base from foreign influence and technological vulnerabilities, the Department of War should be asking a simple question: Why is a company with this many unresolved red flags being allowed anywhere near the systems that map America’s defense supply chain?

Pentagon officials should tear up their RSVPs to Govini’s upcoming 2026 Defense Software & Data Summit to send a message and make it clear that they are united behind President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s policy of eliminating supply chain risks and rooting out DEI across the federal government and among its contractors.

If the goal is protecting America’s national security infrastructure, the last thing the Pentagon should be doing is getting deeper in bed with Govini.
