A growing list of elected Democrats, far-left media activists, and open-borders radicals have one thing in common: they can’t stop praising “Republican” Congressman Thomas Massie.
At the same time they are pushing to abolish ICE on the House floor, promote socialist candidates like Zohran Mamdani, and amplify the so-called “Trump–Epstein” narrative, they are publicly thanking Massie. That tells you everything you need to know about who benefits from Massie’s ongoing crusade against President Trump.
During Tuesday’s State of the Union Address, Ro Khanna posted a picture of himself and Thomas Massie sitting together. Khanna, however, is far from the only anti-Trump, pro-open borders elected Democrat or leftist media personality who has praised Massie.
Far-left and pro-Hamas Muslim activist Mehdi Hasan, who was so extreme he lost his MSNBC (MSNow) platform, recently thanked Massie for promoting the Trump–Epstein narrative:
“Can we all just take a moment to thank Rep. @RoKhanna and @RepThomasMassie for these eye-opening files?”
On June 17, 2025, Hasan again praised Massie for attempting to limit President Trump’s power:
“It’s not often that I thank Republican Congress members but thank you @RepThomasMassie.”
And who else does Hasan celebrate? Socialist Muslim NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani. On February 6, 2026, Hasan posted:
“There are very few politicians out there like Zohran Mamdani. Very very few.”
Hasan has also openly called to abolish ICE, even attacking Christians who support immigration enforcement:
“Imagine supporting this and claiming to be a Christian. Abolish ICE.”
This is the media ecosystem that is cheering on Thomas Massie. House Democrat Pramila Jayapal has repeatedly amplified Massie’s attacks tied to the Epstein narrative, including echoing his calls for President Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to resign, despite public reporting that Lutnick’s brief interactions with Jeffrey Epstein occurred because they were neighbors.
Jayapal wrote:
“Hard YES to this @RepThomasMassie.”
On September 10, 2025, she thanked him again:
“Thank you, @RepThomasMassie, for voting not to table this amendment — something all Members should be able to get behind. Release all of the files.”
On December 16, 2025, Jayapal proudly announced a bipartisan effort with Massie to repeal Presidential war powers authorities, weakening President Trump’s ability to achieve peace around the world:
“NEW: I’m leading a bipartisan effort with @RepThomasMassie to end forever wars by repealing a 2001 provision letting the White House bypass Congress.”
She even praised Massie for “standing up to Trump”:
“Great quote from @RepThomasMassie. Agree or disagree on his positions but he’s one of the very few who is willing to vote his values and not bow down to the cult of Donald Trump.”
Jayapal, a foreign Democrat Congresswoman who was born in India, supports Zohran Mamdani and has called to dismantle ICE and CBP:
“We need to dismantle ICE and CBP when Democrats are in the majority…”
Shockingly, Jayapal currently serves as the top-ranking Democrat on the Congressional Immigration Oversight Committee.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett applauded Massie’s attacks on Attorney General Pam Bondi during last week’s House Judiciary Committee hearing:
“That’s why I applaud Thomas Massie.”
She previously wrote:
“The only Republican that hasn’t pledged complete fealty to the ‘wanna be king.’ … I respect that he has actual principles & stands by them.”
Crockett has also opposed funding ICE, which would drastically weaken immigration enforcement operations inside the United States and make us less secure:
“There’s no way I could vote to give ICE more money… So yes — it was a HELL NO.”
During the same Judiciary Committee hearing, January 6 Committee member Jamie Raskin intervened as Bondi criticized Massie.
Raskin himself has opposed funding DHS/ICE and supports Zohran Mamdani.
“I am of course voting to oppose legislation to fund Donald Trump’s DHS.”
Rep. Ted Lieu, who has made inflammatory accusations against President Trump, has also publicly thanked Massie:
“Dear @RepThomasMassie: Thank you for your humanity…”
Thomas Massie personally thanked a roster of progressive Democrats for co-sponsoring his War Powers Resolution:
“Thank you to the original cosponsors of this War Powers Resolution: Rep. Don Beyer, Rep. Greg Casar, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Lloyd Doggett, Rep. Jesús ‘Chuy’ García, Rep. Val Hoyle, Rep. Pramila Jayapal, Rep. Summer Lee, Rep. Jim McGovern, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Rep. Delia C. Ramirez, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, and Rep. Nydia Velázquez.”
AOC directly replied:
“Signing on.”
AOC has also built a lengthy policy history of embracing defunding ICE and smearing President Trump with falsehoods regarding the Epstein Files.
AOC’s fellow Squad Members Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib also pledged support to Thomas Massie.
