Outside the Department of Justice on Monday evening, Rep. Thomas Massie publicly spiraled into a full-blown episode of Trump Derangement Syndrome when confronted by Loomer Unleashed over his increasingly unhinged attacks on President Donald Trump. Rather than answer a straightforward question about his own slanderous rhetoric, Massie resorted to lies, insults, and juvenile deflection.
Just one day earlier, Massie went on CNN’s Inside Politics Sunday to demand that Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick resign over alleged Epstein-related claims, declaring, “Howard Lutnick clearly went to the island…, but really, he should make life easier on the president, frankly, and just resign.” The statement was reckless, unsubstantiated, and perfectly calibrated for CNN’s anti-Trump audience.
Moments before our confrontation with Massie, his ideological partner-in-crime, far-left Rep. Ro Khanna, echoed the same defamatory talking points outside the DOJ. Khanna, a darling of the “Get Trump” resistance and an outspoken advocate for defunding ICE, declared, “I believe that Lutnick at the very least needs to be brought before Congress. I think based on the evidence, he should be out of the Cabinet.”
Following a joint press conference with Khanna, Massie was asked directly:
“Congressman Massie, in the last week you have called on President Trump to apologize to Barack Obama, and you’re standing here with Congressman Khanna at a press conference implying that the president is a pedophile protector. Are you hating on Trump to try out for CNN?”
Instead of responding like an adult, Massie had a meltdown. He sneered at Loomer Unleashed reporter Charles Downs, mockingly asking whether Downs had taken his “puberty blockers,” a grotesque insult meant to distract from the fact that Massie had no answer.
As soon as the word “Trump” left Downs’ mouth, Massie’s eyes bulged into a wild, bug-eyed glare, a deranged expression eerily reminiscent of serial Trump hoaxer Adam Schiff. The resemblance did not go unnoticed online:

Another angle of the confrontation further captures Massie’s visible agitation and hostility:
The irony is rich. Massie was standing shoulder to shoulder with Ro Khanna, a man who has openly endorsed Adam Schiff, even encouraging donations to Schiff’s Senate campaign. Khanna once mocked Republicans by admitting, “Ha I did say these ridiculous Republican resolutions are like in-kind contributions to Schiff’s campaign! I admire his standing up for the rule of law.”

Khanna’s record places him firmly on the radical fringe of the Democratic Party. He has repeatedly called for dismantling ICE, writing on January 27, 2026, “We should tear down ICE and have an immigration enforcement agency that actually has oversight & respects Constitutional law.”

Just days earlier, on January 25, Khanna proposed defunding ICE by $75 billion, stripping agents of qualified immunity, aggressively prosecuting them, and replacing the agency altogether while absurdly blaming President Trump for eroding the rule of law:

Khanna also voted to impeach President Trump in 2021, grandstanding on January 13 with the declaration, “Today I will vote to impeach to affirm this simple truth best summed up by Lincoln: ‘No grievance is a fit object of redress by mob law.’”

Khanna has publicly championed Black Lives Matter, boasting on November 11, 2020, “I was proud to go on Fox News and stand up for the Black Lives Matter movement, explaining why activists were a key part of the record high turnout.”

Loomer Unleashed has previously exposed Khanna’s deep ties to the socialist wing of his party, including confronting him outside a Washington, D.C. event for Islamic socialist Zohran Mamdani, an event hosted by AOC herself:
Despite branding himself as some kind of libertarian maverick, Massie routinely sides with Squad-aligned radicals. He has voted alongside AOC and Ilhan Omar to limit President Trump’s powers, completely undercutting Massie’s phony “America First” posturing.

Massie smears President Trump, parrots left-wing narratives, allies himself with radical Democrats, and then lashes out when confronted. Kentucky voters should take note: defending President Trump and advancing the America First agenda is clearly not Thomas Massie’s priority, no matter how loudly he pretends otherwise.
