Following President Trump’s successful arrest of wanted narco-terrorist Nicholas Maduro, former “America First” elected officials and media personalities with anti-Trump backgrounds began repeating the same talking points as top elected Democrats Chuck Schumer, AOC, and Bernie Sanders.
It seems all the socialist sympathizers, Democrat party leadership and Republican turncoats are on the same page about one thing: Maduro good. Trump bad. Democrats should win the midterms. Just ask Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, and American Conservative Executive Director Curt Mills.
Shortly after Maduro’s arrest, New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted on X that it was all “about oil and regime change.”
On Sunday, Representative Thomas Massie posted the same exact message: “it’s about OIL and REGIME CHANGE.”
Also on Sunday, before her last official day in Congress, MTG attacked President Trump on Meet the Press for arresting Maduro over “oil.” Following MTG and Massie’s Sunday statements, American Conservative Executive Director Curt Mills issued a similar statement to AOC’s, Massie’s and Greene’s:
“checking in on the war for oil ‘rebuild Venezuela. Rebuild the bridges, the infrastructure’”

United States Senator Chris Murphy used similar language on CNN:
“The invasion of Venezuela has nothing to do with American security… This is about making Trump’s oil industry and Wall Street friends rich.”
This coming from a man who called on Trump to invade Venezuela during his first term in office. The hypocrisy is so bad amongst Democrat leaders that the White House even put out a “Then Versus Now” fact sheet quoting Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, Tim Kaine and others who supported Maduro’s ouster during Trump’s first term or while Biden was in office, but when Trump actually executes a flawless military operation to make it happen, they reflexively oppose him.
MTG, Massie, and Mills shared similar false talking points that arresting Maduro was a betrayal of America First policies, with some calling Trump and his supporters neocons. Nothing could be further from the truth, and it reiterates my point that a small group within the MAGA movement is trying to destroy it from within. If they’re successful, the consequences will be disastrous for the GOP.
Before President Trump’s arrest of Maduro, American Conservative Executive Director Curt Mills began framing the argument that any intervention in Venezuela was a betrayal of America First policy:
“Hawks and neocons can call the Venezuela crusade “nationalist” and “America First” all they’d like. If you barely scratch surface, it’s the war on terror and the CIA all the way down. In other words, business as usual”
Following the successful arrest of Maduro, United States Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer seemed to copy Mills’ thinking by issuing a statement that President Trump’s arrest of Maduro makes him the least America First president in US history. MTG then shortly followed up with a similar X post mocking Trump and America First: “We are running Venezuela now. America First!!!”
Mills followed suit with his own post mocking Trump:
“if America First means anything, it means returning to Corporate America resources dubiously filched decades ago. The same Corporate America that wanted Trump ousted from power, jailed, de-platformed, and his supporters ostracized from mainstream life.”
Even Democrat Congressman Ro Khanna got in on the action:
“Donald Trump betrayed his MAGA base today, launching a war of choice to bring regime change in Venezuela.”
Senator Bernie Sanders also issued a similar statement about Trump “betraying” his base:
“Trump campaigned on an ‘America First’ platform. Now he wants to ‘run’ Venezuela?”
Curt Mills essentially said the same thing several days later:
“Trump’s Move for Regime Change in Venezuela Threatens a New MAGA Rift”
MTG, Massie, and Curt Mills, along with his American Conservative board, have a history of spreading the Trump-Epstein hoax. Congressmember Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie joined Ro Khanna at two press conferences over the fall and winter where anti-Trump protesters displayed signs calling President Trump a pedophile, while Mills has shared numerous posts on the false attack on President Trump.

Their attacks on President Trump by these so-called Republicans began months ago. Over the summer, MTG, Massie, and Mills attacked President Trump for striking Iran’s nuclear facilities, a decision which looks better by the day as Iran is closer to collapse now than ever. On June 22, Massie said this of the Iran strikes: “This is not America First folks.” American Conservative Executive Director Curt Mills, along with his advisory board member Tucker Carlson, shared similar messaging, attacking President Trump’s decision to strike Iran as a betrayal to America First policies and accusing the Iran strikes of causing a rift within the MAGA movement. Mills also repeated similar talking points in early December.
In December, Mills attacked Trump for meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, stating:
“The Israeli Prime Minister will meet Trump on December 29 to sell another Iran war. Israel demands endless war. ‘America First’ demands peace.”
Making Massie, MTG, and Mills view any show of American strength, any effort to take on our adversaries in Venezuela or Iran, as out of step with the MAGA movement. But Trump invented the MAGA movement, and peace through strength is at its core. Iran and Venezuela have caused massive problems for the U.S., aligning against our interests and the interests of our allies frequently and partnering with China to sell them cheap oil.
Obviously, Mills and his buddy, Tucker Carlson, have been bought and paid for by Middle East interests. Loomer Unleashed recently covered the Doha Forum, which Mills and Tucker attended. The forum was hosted by the Clinton Global Initiative, and featured speakers who supported the Ayatollahs in Iran.

MTG, Massie, and Mills’ alignment with Democrats makes it clear that these people have no interest in continuing the MAGA movement. Their goal is to divide MAGA from within so the left can win the midterms. Unless Republican leaders unite behind the MAGA agenda and toss traitors from their ranks, they just might get their way.
