One of her final moves as a Minnesota state legislator was securing $400,000 in taxpayer funds for the Somali Museum of Minnesota, a museum dedicated not to American heritage, but to deepening the cultural footprint of Somalia in the United States. As Stephen Miller said recently, when citizens from countries that are in shambles come to the United States, they bring the same flawed cultural values that broke their countries in the first place. The Somali hordes in Minnesota are no different.
After entering Congress, she only escalated these efforts.
In 2024, Omar’s political ally Omar Fateh, whom she endorsed for Minneapolis mayor, tried to ram a $12 million taxpayer giveaway to the Somali Museum through the Minnesota legislature. When that failed, Fateh pivoted and introduced a separate bill that would still hand the institution $2 million, an effort that remains under legislative consideration.
This is not organic cultural exchange. This is state-funded cultural replacement, mapped out step-by-step by the most radical members of Minnesota’s political class.
Federal Election Commission filings reveal a troubling financial relationship: Ilhan Omar’s campaign and the Somali Museum exchanged payments between 2020 and 2025, bizarrely labeled as “dance performances.”
Why is a U.S. congressional campaign paying a Somali cultural institution for so-called “performances”? And why is that same institution receiving taxpayer dollars pushed by Omar and her allies? These are not coincidences, they are coordinated financial pipelines.
On her own congressional website, Omar openly bragged that President Joe Biden followed her demands by lifting the refugee admissions cap in 2021, unleashing a wave of migrants from Somalia, Haiti, and other unstable regions into small towns across America. Omar celebrated the move, declaring:
“I am pleased we are finally turning the page toward a more inclusive immigration policy.”
“Inclusive” is political doublespeak for a series of disastrous policies:
