In the wake of Wednesday’s attack at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas, evidence, first reported by Laura Loomer, reveals the perpetrator’s deep ties to leftist ideologies and anti-ICE sentiments. The 29-year-old shooter, Joshua Jahn, used ammunition inscribed with “ANTI-ICE” in the assault, echoing the inflammatory rhetoric amplified by elected Democrats and anti-Trump protesters over the past year. This latest attack by the radical left against institutions connected to President Trump underscores how Democrats’ unchecked extremist narratives on border enforcement continue to fuel horrific real-world consequences.
Jahn registered to vote in Collin County in 2018 and voter records show he voted early in the 2020 Democrat primary election. Jahn’s now-deleted Facebook profile featured communist imagery with clear “antifa” connotations, including a muscular, bearded figure enthusiastically brandishing an AK-47 rifle while wearing an marxist-styled ushanka hat emblazoned with a red star and hammer and sickle. The image is set against a red background with the prominent antifascist emblem, and the caption “GLORIOUS EXPOSITION, COMRADE”. The attack, executed from a sniper position, targeted ICE agents and was marked with anti-ICE symbols. The shooter’s online history further revealed an obsession with the Charlie Kirk assassination and tracked ICE-DHS facilities. Jahn also left a handwritten note stating “hopefully this will give ICE agents real terror,” positioning the attack on the Dallas ICE facility as the most recent act of leftist political violence against federal immigration enforcement or conservatives.
Further investigation reveals Jahn’s family has more connections to Democrat activism. His mother, Sharon Jahn, has publicly attacked Texas Republicans, ironically, for supporting Second Amendment rights. In a Facebook post in May of 2022, Sharon Jahn attacked Governor Greg Abbott, Senator Ted Cruz, and Senator John Cornyn, stating, “Governor Abbott, Senator Cornyn and Senator Cruz how does it make you feel that your action to open up gun laws is responsible for the killing of 21 more people? Do you secretly sit in front of a tv and smile a demented smile? You must be proud of all the money that sits in your bank accounts from gun lobby support. Was it worth it, Governor Abbott? How about you senators? When you prioritize money over people this is what you get.” This unstable rhetoric, ironically paired with her son’s use of a firearm in the attack, illustrates a pattern of failed Democrat rage directing anger at “the thing” instead of the root of the problem.
Congressional Democrats Incite pro-Open Border Violence
In light of the recent shooting at the Dallas ICE facility, it is noteworthy that Representative Jasmine Crockett’s congressional district encompasses parts of Dallas. Crockett has repeatedly demonized ICE, such rhetoric undoubtedly contributes to a climate where this type of political violence becomes possible. During a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing in May of 2025, titled “Examining Threats to ICE Operations,” she fiercely defended Representative LaMonica McIver, who was charged with assaulting ICE officers.
More recently, in a video from last week in mid-September, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries seemingly endorsed her anti-ice sentiments while introducing Crockett saying, “I stand with Jasmine Crockett,” before handing her the microphone. Crockett then addressed the Democrat caucus, strongly condemning ICE during remarks on her bill to force ICE agents to remove face coverings, framing it as resistance to oppressive tactics.
Also, during the Los Angeles open-border riots earlier in the year, Crockett used incendiary anti-ice rhetoric stating, “These ICE raids in Los Angeles are nothing but authoritarian tactics designed to instill fear and division. This administration is turning America into a wannabe Russia, targeting communities with no regard for due process or humanity.” Crockett has also equated ICE with slavery, asserting, “When I see ICE, I see slave patrols,” in a statement that aligns with the shooter’s explicit “ANTI-ICE” messaging.
This pattern reflects a broader history of Democrats aligning with extremism. On May 1, 2025, May Day, a date symbolic of communist movements, busloads of protesters arrived in Washington, D.C., for an anti-Trump rally. The event had all the hallmarks of an “antifa” event; propaganda, transgender flags, and demands for open borders, including the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an individual linked to MS-13. At one point as tensions boiled over, one protester shouted at Loomer Unleashed, “I’ll bust your motherin’ shit, man. Say it to my face, homeboy. I will crack your head upside your mother*in’ head.” Elected Democrats, including Representatives Ilhan Omar and Maxwell Frost, and Senator Mazie Hirono, delivered speeches implying that basic enforcement of U.S. borders is dehumanizing. Framing Trump’s immigration policies in this way clearly makes elected Democrats complicit in supporting radical left violence.

Representative Pramila Jayapal repeated this same evasion tactic the next month at a June protest. The top Democrat on the House Immigration Subcommittee, led an anti-ICE event outside the Department of Justice where Jayapal called for ending ICE raids and backed the Los Angeles riots. She hid behind SEIU and CASA affiliates to avoid questions about her endorsement of unrest that turned violent.

It’s worth noting that CASA’s official stance labels ICE a “rogue agency” that has “caused immense harm to our communities,” effectively branding it a terrorist entity. Should groups that label U.S. agencies this way be given tax exempt status? Representative Ilhan Omar once defended policies to remove ICE from Minneapolis, by saying ICE “terrorizes” her community. It’s ten times worse when you have a member of government inciting violence against it.
The facts are undeniable. Democrats have consistently platformed anti-ICE extremism, from inflammatory speeches to shielding radicals, they cannot deny responsibility for the violence witnessed in Dallas. As Americans head to the ballot box in 2026, these leaders must be held accountable for prioritizing open borders and partisan division over public safety and national security. The time for apologizing has long passed. Voters must demand real change to protect our institutions, communities, and the American way of life.
