Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show that the PAC funding these pro-Trump ads is bankrolled by the same mega-donors who tried to defeat Trump in the 2024 GOP presidential primary by backing Nikki Haley and her Stand for America (SFA) PAC. Several donors to Cornyn’s Texans For A Conservative Majority PAC also hosted and co-hosted pro-Nikki Haley fundraisers in 2024. Moreover, this includes individuals who hosted fundraisers for Haley—often alongside Karen Rove, wife of notorious anti-Trump operative Karl Rove.

Overlapping Donors: Haley’s Anti-Trump Funders Now Fuel Cornyn’s PAC
The deception starts with overlapping financial support. The Haley-Cornyn donor connections align as substantial figures have funded both Cornyn and Haley. John Nau gave $4,000,000 to Texans for a Conservative Majority in 2025 after donating $705,000 to Nikki Haley’s SFA PAC in 2024 GOP Presidential primary.
Building on this pattern, the Hunt family has demonstrated similar cross-support. Nancy Ann Hunt donated $150,000 to Cornyn’s PAC in April 2025 after giving $650,000 to Haley’s PAC in December 2023. Moreover, Ray L. Hunt mirrored this support, contributing $150,000 to Cornyn’s PAC after donating $600,000 to Haley’s SFA Fund throughout 2023—including $500,000 on November 3, 2023, and $100,000 on March 30, 2023.
Similarly, Bryan S. Sheffield donated $50,000 to Texans for a Conservative Majority on May 15, 2025, following Bryan S. Sheffield’s $315,000 to Nikki Haley’s SFA Fund across several installments: $150,000 on March 2, 2023; $100,000 on June 22, 2023; $25,000 on September 28, 2023; $25,000 on January 23, 2024; and $15,000 on February 26, 2024.
Harlan Crow and Karen Rove Helped Raise Money for Haley’s Anti-Trump Bid

Crow, a Dallas-based real-estate developer and GOP megadonor, who openly mocked Trump by claiming “we wouldn’t have gone as nuts on the right without him,” also hosted Haley fundraisers in February 2024. Joining him were Ray and Ann Hunt, as well as Karen Rove, wife of Karl Rove—one of the most vocal Never Trumpers in GOP politics.
Extending this scrutiny, Crow, a Dallas real estate developer, donated $100,000 to Texans For a Conservative Majority on April 3, 2025, after Harlan R. Crow’s $50,000 contribution to Nikki Haley’s SFA Fund on November 10, 2023.
Crow himself once bragged about suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome” and has made it clear he opposes Trump’s America First movement.

Beyond mere financial support, one donor deepened his commitment to Nikki Haley’s anti-Trump campaign by hosting fundraising events. Harlan R. Crow, along with Ray and Ann Hunt, hosted Haley’s Texas fundraisers on February 15 and 16, 2024, in Dallas. Also, the Haley events in Dallas were hosted by Karen Rove, wife of “political strategist” and known Trump hater Karl Rove.
