If you had done a real deep dive into Vinay Prasad- without an agenda – you would understand (and appreciate) how outspoken he was about covid regulations and the bureaucracy in the Biden administration with all the top FDA officials at the time. His decision making was – and is- rooted in the data we should all require from BIG Pharma. VP did not have to agree with everything Trump did or didn’t do in order to do his job well. Many people who wanted a change in our Government didn’t necessarily “love trump” but they wanted a change from what we had with Biden. Did you take the time to listen to any of his Podcasts or any of the new FDA YouTube discussions he co-created in order to promote full transparency to the public? We have NEVER had that level of transparency. I understand you taking the time to dig through Twittter – but you fell short in telling the entire story. Who paid you for this article? This is some dark shit that most Americans won’t ever pick up on. This guy has the most impressive critical appraisal skills of just about anyone in the medical community. I have followed him for years purely from a medical standpoint. The majority of the tweets listed are examples of him calling out people on the left! The swell of propaganda against him must have started from the drug company and whoever else in government has financial ties to Sarepta.
I was sorry to see him appointed and glad he’s gone. We need a leader who can help get more drugs thru the pipeline, especially for rare diseases. That means helping companies that live by a financial thread get thru trials with promising drugs. This requires expertise that understands that if all you look at is overall survival, most patients will have died before you approve a drug. Meaningful extension of a better life till the next improvement comes does lead to improved over all survival. He was just too young and arrogant to have that type of maturity.
