The Cover-Up Begins: Dan Goldman Leads the Defense—

LaMonica McIver after her assault on ICE agents made national headlines. Rather than condemn violence or call for accountability, Goldman denounced the Department of Justice’s charges as “politically motivated.”
“What an absolute disgrace,” Goldman posted on X alongside a video attacking the Trump administration and U.S. Attorney Alina Habba. “As a DOJ prosecutor for 10 years, the allegations in that complaint are so pathetic and paper-thin that this charge can only be a politicized effort to intimidate and silence political opposition. The case must be dropped immediately.”

Goldman’s posts drew widespread backlash. Investigative journalist Laura Loomer responded sharply, writing: “Why does every Democrat DEI Shaniqua think she is above the law? Do the crime, pay the time, bitch.”
But Goldman’s defense of McIver isn’t new—it’s part of a long, well-documented pattern.
A Pattern of Defending Violence and Corruption
As Loomer Unleashed has reported extensively, Rep. Goldman has a history of defending unethical, partisan behavior and outright incitement—so long as it benefits his side. Just this month, he defended Rep. Jasmine Crockett after her incitement of violence against Republicans. In November 2024, Goldman was visibly distraught when Special Counsel Jack Smith dropped charges against President Trump.
Goldman has also faced mounting scrutiny for his ethically murky relationship with Judge Juan Merchan’s daughter. Her firm, Authentic Campaigns, represents Goldman as a client. In May 2024, Goldman was caught on camera faking a phone call to dodge questions about his connections to Authentic and his involvement in coaching the disgraced “star witness,” with multiple felony convictions, used to help indict Trump, Michael Cohen.
A separate Loomer Unleashed investigation revealed that Goldman sent payments to the home address of Judge Merchan’s daughter while her father was overseeing President Trump’s trial in New York, where Goldman is a Congressman. This raised serious ethical concerns about conflicts of interest and judicial integrity, for which the Congressman has never been held accountable.
In what seemed like an unethical pay-for-punishment-of-Trump scheme, Goldman paid the Judge’s daughter Loren Merchan while her Authentic Campaign clients—including the Brennan Center, where Rep Goldman’s mother Susan Sachs Goldman is a Board Member—were granted prime seats and unrestricted access inside the Trump trial during the Presidential election. Prior to President Trump officially taking office, Dan Goldman celebrated the fact that President Trump was being indicted.
Loomer Unleashed also exposed Dan Goldman for being part of the coverup of Joe Biden’s mental fitness as he refused to call for Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race following his disastrous performance in the debate against President Trump. When confronted, Goldman snapped at Loomer Unleashed reporter Charles Downs.
Tried to Join Trump Assassination Investigation
Following the July 13, 2024 assassination attempt on President Trump, House Democrats attempted to place Goldman on a special committee investigating the incident. Had they succeeded, an anti-Trump extremist—already entangled in ethics scandals and lawfare operations—would have been given influence over one of the most sensitive national security investigations in American history.
Goldman’s unhinged attacks on the DOJ’s case against McIver are not rooted in legal integrity—they’re rooted in political protectionism. He shields his allies while working to criminalize political dissent. Even during his freshman year of Congress, in a November 2023 interview on MSNBC’s Inside with Jen Psaki, Goldman said President Trump “is destructive to our Democracy and he has to be eliminated.” The comment sparked immediate backlash across social media and conservative circles. Critics accused Goldman of dangerously escalating political violence and calling for President Trump to be assassinated. Goldman’s violent statement follows years of Democrat rhetoric that nearly resulted in the President’s death not once, but twice.
Newsweek reported that Goldman’s comments “sparked MAGA fury” and were viewed as a direct threat against President Trump by many of his supporters. Fox News later reported that Goldman attempted to walk back the comment after public outcry, issuing a clarification, claiming he meant Trump must be defeated politically, not physically eliminated.
Despite the walk-back, the comment added to Goldman’s growing reputation for incendiary language and double standards. In April, Goldman falsely accused Investigative Journalist Laura Loomer of being a “white supremacist” following her Oval Office meeting with President Trump, which resulted in the firing of several high level NSC and NSA officials.
Goldman routinely attacks the Trump administration’s policies using his official press releases. Within one statement, he criticized the Trump administration for its cancellation of programs tied to diversity and global cooperation. In another, he accused Trump officials of attempting to “dismantle” key institutional protections.
Goldman’s hostility toward Trump is a consistent theme across platforms—including additional televised appearances where he aggressively framed Trump’s actions as “threats to democracy”.
Goldman Turns on Eric Adams: A Case of Political Extortion?
In February, Rep. Goldman lashed out at the DOJ for dropping its investigation into New York City Mayor Eric Adams. Goldman referred to the DOJ’s decision as “outright extortion,” signaling growing internal rifts among Democrats in New York. The attack came shortly after Adams appeared to align himself with the Trump administration on several public safety and immigration initiatives—an alignment that triggered calls for his resignation by other top Democrats.
Goldman’s public condemnation of Adams made headlines, and his criticism of the DOJ over a decision that seemingly benefited a fellow Democrat revealed the deeper fractures within the Democrat party that pretends to have a united front. While Adams has attempted to pivot politically to survive growing backlash over crime and migrant policies, Goldman’s reaction suggests that any cooperation with Trump’s policies is considered betrayal within elite Democrat circles.
This highlights Goldman’s increasingly volatile role within his party—not only as a partisan enforcer against Trump and his allies, but now as a self-appointed gatekeeper of ideological purity within the Democrat establishment itself.
Democrat Lawfare and Protection Racket
Goldman’s career serves as a case study in how the Democrat establishment protects its own. Whether it’s defending attacks on law enforcement, smearing whistleblowers, or exploiting judicial connections to wage war on President Trump, Goldman plays his part as the Left’s loyal enforcer.
The American people deserve better than this two-tiered justice system. As more facts emerge about McIver’s assault and the coordinated cover-up involving top House Democrats, it becomes clear that the rot in Washington goes far deeper than one scandal.
