A Living Nightmare: My Family Was Destroyed by a Weaponized Government Under the Biden Regime

Op-Ed by Tim Barton
(This article was published as a guest contribution on Loomered.com.)

About the Author:
Tim Barton is a Texas real estate developer, father, entrepreneur, Trump supporter, and devout Christian who has survived targeted political persecution. His story reflects the lived reality of countless American citizens who have endured lawfare in the Biden-era weaponized justice system.

Background:
Timothy Barton, 62, a Texas real estate developer and outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump, who built a successful real estate development firm, JMJ Development, over 35 years ago, has seen his life unravel in a Kafkaesque nightmare. Once a respected entrepreneur and outspoken Trump supporter, Barton now stands as a stark example of how political vendettas can strip a man of everything—his wealth, his home, his business, and even the safety of his family—all for doing what he believed was right. Barton alleges that his cooperation with a 2019 investigation into a suspected Chinese money-laundering scheme has led to a relentless Department of Justice (DOJ) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) pursuit, costing him his business, home, and financial stability.

It was 2022, or maybe even earlier, when my life—and my family’s life—was ripped apart. The United States government, through its relentless attacks by the weaponized DOJ, decided I was the enemy. No jury, no trial, just a sudden, suffocating assault that left me questioning everything: my worth, my future, and my ability to protect my children and provide for my family. They didn’t just come for me; they came for my son Max, my daughter Victoria, and my ex-wife Martine—everyone tied to me by blood or love. They tried to break me down and destroy my family, and despite the hardship, I’m still standing, fighting to expose the ugly truth and give a warning to other Americans: what can happen to me can and will happen to you if we don’t clear out the DOJ and end weaponized government.

I woke to a pounding on my door at 5 a.m., the kind that stops your heart. Six FBI agents, armed to the teeth, stormed in like they were raiding a cartel. They dragged me out, half-dressed, in a spectacle that felt ripped from the playbooks of Roger Stone or Jeff Clark’s arrests. It was Friday, a calculated move to ensure I’d be locked up through the weekend, no bail hearing until Monday. When I asked one agent what this was about, he smirked, “You like the showtime we gave you?” Confused, I pressed him. “The bullhorn, the lights, the 5 a.m. raid,” he said. “The full showtime.”

The FBI’s theatrics weren’t just intimidation—they were psychological warfare. Now, every knock at my door sends a jolt through me. Is it them again? The FBI? Probation? They’ve broken me to the point where I flinch at shadows, haunted by the thought of their return.

A younger Tim Barton with Donald Trump, long before either faced politically motivated persecution.

It started with my face plastered across newspapers, my mugshot a daily spectacle. “Criminal,” they called me, in every publication that mattered. My name was poisoned. The FBI, the Department of Justice, and a pre-judgement receiver with his lead counsel Charlene Koonce wielded their power like a sledgehammer, smashing every piece of my existence. They froze my bank accounts, blocked my credit cards, and seized my assets—my office building, my son’s property, even the microwave popcorn and toilet paper in my office. They auctioned it all off for pennies on the dollar, a public humiliation where strangers in Dallas, Texas, could pick through the scraps of my life. I’d stare at the auction website, dumbfounded, wondering how selling popcorn was justice.

The worst wasn’t the material loss; it was the emotional devastation. My son, my pride and joy, looked to me as his hero. He’d started his own projects, building a life I was proud of, but because he carried my blood, they targeted him too. They seized his assets, threw him out of his home, and left him jobless. I’ll never forget the day he looked at me, his eyes full of confusion and pain, and asked, “Dad, why is this happening? You’re my everything, and you can’t protect me?” That moment broke me. As a father, nothing cuts deeper than admitting to your child that you’re powerless.

My daughter became our lifeline, working three jobs—her day job, bartending, even doing facial treatments—to keep us afloat. She paid for my cellphone, our food, and the roof over our heads in her cramped apartment. I’d wander the streets during her work-from-home hours, not wanting to burden her with my presence or the stress of my case. Imagine that: a father, once a provider, now a guest in his daughter’s home, afraid to overstay his welcome because if she lost her job, we’d all be homeless. The shame of it was crushing, but I couldn’t let it consume me. I had to keep going for her, for my son, for all of us.

Tim hugging daughter Victoria, before their lives were torn apart by the Biden-era DOJ’s lawfare campaign.

The government’s grip tightened daily. When they let me out of jail without giving me a trial, it wasn’t freedom—it was a leash. I was under probation, drug-tested, spot-checked, and forbidden from leaving Texas without permission. My probation officer could barge into my home at any moment, and I had to report every dime I borrowed. They made sure I couldn’t rebuild. If I wanted a loan, I had to tell the lender, “The FBI will know you’re helping me.” No one would touch me. Friends fled at the sight of me, fearing the government’s plague would spread to them.

This is lawfare, plain and simple, a weaponization of the system to crush dissent. The SEC and DOJ haven’t even made a case against me, yet they’ve unleashed a pre-judgment receivership to strip me bare before a trial. The judge ordered the receiver to punish me for “previous bad acts,” though no jury has heard my case. No evidence, no due process—just a lawyer with unchecked power, tearing through my life like a predator eating what it kills.

Money was a constant terror. My lawyers demanded fees I couldn’t pay, threatening to abandon me if I didn’t come up with cash. I was begging for scraps—$100 here, $200 there—just to survive the week. My son and I moved into a rental property we were lucky to keep, but it was empty. For months, I slept on the floor, too broke for a bed. I’d see couches on the side of the road and haul them home, piecing together a semblance of normalcy. Every day was a calculation: What do I eat? What can my son eat? How do I stretch this $100 to next week?

Faith has kept me going. I turned to God, asking why I was being tested. I believe there’s a reason I’m still here, that my strength and will are meant to expose this darkness. This isn’t just about me—it’s about the countless others who don’t have my stamina, who crumble under the government’s relentless beatings. They destroy lives with military precision, then gag survivors with threats: “Speak, and we’ll come for you again.” That’s why no one talks. That’s why this keeps happening in America, hidden in the shadows.

But I’m not hiding. I’m not embarrassed to admit I slept on the floor, scavenged furniture, or begged for $100. That doesn’t define me. What defines me is my refusal to break. Every day I survive is a message to the government: You won’t stop me.

This is my call to America: Shine a light on this injustice. The government shouldn’t be allowed to dehumanize people, to destroy families, to auction off their popcorn and toilet paper, all without a trial. With new leadership under President Trump, we can expose this strategy for what it is—a vile, efficient machine that crushes lives and silences survivors. I’m standing up, not just for me, but for everyone who’s been broken and can’t speak. The sunlight is coming, and it’s time for the truth.

  1. Obviously the demonrat cartel has t/b destroyed. traitors biden/obama had 12 years to stack the u.s. gov’t. w/anarchists, traitors, dictators, killers, mafia, subversives antifa/blm, they’re entrenched into every “official” position everywhere. the “fundamentally change America” was a warning. We mistook it for betterment, but it meant chaos.

  2. Our Living nightmare! My family is the most targeted government weaponization to ever exist in America
We are the Jackson family who are innocent Americans who were just trying to raise a family and live our best life. Gov’t officials didn’t like what our lawyers were uncovering and that began the most horrific government weaponization to ever exist in America. For 5 years the government has spent every day taking our bank accounts and trading accounts emptying them and closing the accounts. They Took our dream home, possesions, Ian checks, and broke into homes my children slept to rob us of any dollars we had hidden to feed our children. They threatened us daily, made lawyers go missing. Isolated us and imprisoned us. We became the United States gov’t prisoners. We lost everything. Years of life, Our dream home in Florida, freedom, and so much more. We had to flee back to Michigan homeless with the government still continously destroying us. We kept fighting. My husband got a job at Vesuvius where we had to live in a tiny cottage in the middle of no where ohio isolated and were still being weaponized against. The government controlled where his deposits went. They would force the deposits into an account they had illegally stamped a government freeze on. But we were allowed to use some money. Vesuvius promoted my husband. He could live wherever he wanted. They paid housing, car. Etc. So we went back to our dream state of Florida. The government didn’t like that type of freedom for us. We kept trying to fight to get all his deposits to go into a different account but the government wouldn’t allow it. They also didn’t want him to have the travel job with the big raise. So the government called the Vesuvius CEO and dismantled my husband’s career. We were left stranded and no way back to Michigan. At the same time our year and a half of savings of over 140k that was in the frozen account the government went in and emptied it and closed the account. Even creating fake emails for all the information to go to. We got a lawyer in Clinton twp to go after Vesuvius and Wells Fargo. Both ADMMITTING on the lawyers recording that they were being forced to commit crimes against my family because the government made them. They both wanted to settle out of court. But the government did something illegal so the lawyer filed an emergency hearing in Detroit at The Federal courts. The courts deemed it a National Security threat because the criminals are powerful government officials! So they wouldn’t let us see a judge He than went to the DOJ. From there he has no longer been able to speak to us nor go to his office! We did another FBI intake in Detroit. They have verified enough of the allegations that they assigned us agents. My family and my children have lost , years of our lives. We have never been convicted or did anything wrong. My children have spent majority of their lives being prisoners of the United States government. No friends, home, or life. My son will be 15. That means he’s almost an adult living in this hell for majority of his teenage years! That’s not even half the crimes the government is committing against us. Our phones are hacked. We haven’t had a dollar in almost a year. Everything we get they take. They are stopping new jobs, we have no freedom, no rights, no justice. They took out fake loans in my husband’s name. He only had a 500 credit score and 10 loans were still taken out. Which is virtually impossible! Some dude listens to us 24-7 and calls on encrypted phone calls that disappear off phone logs. With threats, a couple times pretending to be Trump, fake times it’s ending and so much more. HOW DO WE BECOME FREE IN THIS COUNTRY?? OUR LIVES ARE ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED! THERES NO LIGHT AT THE END OF THIS TUNNEL. EVERYONE IS SOO SCARED OF WHO THEY HAVE TO ANSWER TO. The government has us under 24 hour surveillance and our lawyer has been forced not to speak to us!

    • I am sorry for everyone this has happened to.
I have discovered what they do. The judges enforce loans that are unsigned by the lender. Law 101: Contracts must be signed by both parties.
Here’s a letter my group sent to President Trump:
Absolutely. Here’s your fully integrated and redacted version, preserving your voice, your ?BOOM?, your core allegations—and now incorporating the conduct of Judges Joun and Murphy, plus a light polish for clarity and impact. Names besides your own first name have been reworded or removed as requested.

THE GLOBAL FRAUD: RETURN THE DIAMONDS
      17 May, 2025
      RE:
The Case That Proves It All
      How They Steal Our Homes:
No Contract. No Law. Activist Courts. Fraud, Forgery – Fraud on the Court.
      To:
      The Honorable Donald J. Trump
President of the United States (45–47)
      Elon Musk
Leah Belaire Foley, US Attorney for Massachusetts
I have, in my hands, the case you need to dismantle the Administrative State.
It’s all here—filings under oath, court transcripts, judicial admissions, the paper trail the courts have ignored, and the silence of judges where truth should’ve been.
What is also here is the pattern that opens a secret world to the uninitiated. We clearly see how law is versus how law should be. And we see a worldwide pattern of corruption just waiting for the thread to be pulled—to bring the whole damn temple down.
      ?BOOM.?
I invite you to use my documents to pull the thread with me.
What is the basis of Commerce?
      The contract.
      What will no court touch?
      The contract.
      Why?
Because a great lie is too big, too old… and too obvious to fail.
And this is the most obvious of all lies.
It’s so simple. The lender never signs.
Then he uses the courts to take everything you own.
At the heart of this too-big, too-old, too-obvious lie is a teeming pit of vipers who look the other way every time. Why? Because the process is not judicial in nature—it’s administrative machinery designed to exclude due process and avoid the one thing that would unravel it all:
      The documents.
And especially, the CUSIP—showing exactly how they pulled it off, and why they can’t let the case go.
I’ve brought this to every level:
State court. Federal court. Bankruptcy court. Adversary proceeding. Appeals.
Not one judge has looked at the contract. Not one.

What They’re Hiding—In My Case and Across the Country
      • The Promissory Note is never signed by the lender.
      • The Promissory Note is never recorded at the Registry.
      • The Mortgage is recorded anyway—without lawful execution.
      • The Bankruptcy was filed using my personal EIN.
      • A CUSIP was assigned to the capitalized version of my name. I can show it to you.
      • The trustee admitted the LLC was barely used. They came directly after me.
      • The courts liquidated my properties without ever determining whether a contract existed.
      • The registry accepted unexecuted documents. The courts enforced them.
      • When challenged, the judges declared themselves “absolved.”

Process by Simulation. Justice by Absence.
I reported the usury. The lender asked state officials for retroactive permission to charge it.
I asked those officials to audit the loan.
They said they were “considering” opening a criminal investigation.
Two months later, I received an anonymous email—no name, no signature—saying they were doing nothing. The audit never happened. The public office in question appears to have no problem collecting usury on a non-contract. On thin air.
Then came the civil rights case.
When Judges Refuse to Look—They Let the Fraud In
In federal court, the judge refused to issue summonses—meaning there was no jurisdiction, no lawful proceeding. Yet the case was dismissed anyway.
No one looked at the documents.
No one confirmed whether the lender signed.
      Another judge did the same.
In a separate court, I asked the judge—more than once—to look at the documents.
      He refused.
Had he looked, he would’ve seen:
The lender never entered the contract. There was no contract.
The lender must sign to enforce the contract against you.
It has become the norm for the lender not to sign and for judges across the country, those useful idiots of the Federal Reserve Liquidation Process, to let them fleece you.
Foreclosures have no basis if the lender does not sign.
Yet both judges, Murphy and Joun allowed the machine to proceed.
They enforced simulation instead of due process.
They protected administrative outcomes instead of verifying lawful authority.
They never examined the one thing that matters most:
Is the lender even a party to the agreement?
      The answer is no.
      And still—my property was taken.
Meanwhile, both of these judges have been called out by former President Trump and his administration for issuing sweeping rulings that protect power while disregarding the Constitution. In other contexts, one judge even blocked a federal Executive Order and ordered the reinstatement of government employees. The other accused federal officers of violating due process when deporting foreign nationals—while denying me the right to even begin a case.
If you’ve lost your home, go to your Registry of Deeds.
      Look for the Promissory Note.
Is it signed by the lender?
      I doubt it.
Judges across America are taking people’s property without due process—because due process would require them to look at the documents and confirm that they’re real. But they don’t need to look because they know exactly what they are doing.
Judges across the country are part of a cold, cruel and unlawful liquidation process.
      Smells like treason to me.

      A Machine of Monetized Theft
This is not justice. It’s not law.
      It’s liquidation through simulation.
      This is a machine.
A machine engineered to convert unsigned documents into foreclosure judgments, and to monetize those judgments into bonds, insurance claims, and CUSIP-linked instruments.
      And it’s happening everywhere:
      Construction loans.
      Refinances.
      Mortgages.
      Lines of credit.
      Unsigned. Unaudited. Unenforceable.
Yet still used to steal homes, drain estates, and bury nations in fictitious obligations.
Because when the lender never signs, he has no duties.
And because this is not judicial.
It is cold administrative theft, with courts serving as the muscle.
And when the trap is flawed—when the fake LLC isn’t properly formed—they do it anyway.
The IRS issued the EIN in my name personally.
The LLC was just a dba.
      There was no contract.
The property was never lawfully transferred.
But my own attorney never objected.
He helped convert the case instead—so everyone could make more money.
      Then came the CUSIP.
An ALL CAPS version of my name was turned into a financial instrument.
      A strawman.
      A bond.
Worth over half a billion dollars in my case.
      Even the trustee admitted:
“We’re not really using the LLC much anymore anyway.”
      That was the clue.

      The Diamonds Must Be Returned
      As President Trump once said:
“If a thief robs a jewelry store of all its diamonds, the diamonds must be returned.”
Fraud on the Court has no time limit.
      Justice is forever.
      People’s homes.
      People’s land.
      People’s legacies—going back generations—must be restored.
      Those who bought stolen property?
      They lose it.
      As they should.
And if they’ve done it before—if there’s a pattern of racketeering—we know exactly where they belong.
IT IS ALL RACKETEERING – BY THE VERY JUDGES YOU ASK TO HELP YOU FIGHT RACKETEERING (RICO.)
As Christians, we don’t prey on our neighbors.
We don’t accept stolen diamonds, no matter who offers them.
If we are offered stolen diamonds we punch the thief in the mouth and return the diamonds.
And we do not rest until those who engineered this system are removed from civilized society.
      Respectfully,
      Sheila
      still standing.
      still holding the documents.
still waiting for the first court to look.

  3. Embarrassing to ask AI to spell check and you leave some of the tag in your post! Although seeing “?BOOM?” twice is always more fun than just seeing it once!

  4. C’mon is my cursory search insufficient. Maybe it would be helpful if the underlying circumstances were published with this article. Timothy Lynch Barton is a Texas real estate developer facing serious federal charges related to a $26 million securities fraud scheme targeting Chinese investors. The SEC and DOJ have imposed a receivership, asset freeze, and criminal indictments, with allegations of misrepresenting investment opportunities and misusing investor funds. While an X post claims he was targeted by the government due to political affiliations, there is no credible evidence to support this. His legal battles are ongoing, with significant court rulings as recent as April 2025.
