Despite President Donald Trump’s executive orders banning divisive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs—while restoring merit-based opportunity—across the federal government, a key Biden-era DEI official remains in power inside the Department of Defense. Adarryl M. Roberts, an anti-Trump, DEI advocate with a documented history of support for Black Lives Matter (BLM), continues to serve as Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Operations for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
Biden-Appointed BLM Supporter Still Embedded at Defense Logistics Agency
Roberts, appointed on August 2, 2023, oversees more than 190 IT systems critical to military logistics worldwide. His official biography says he is responsible for DLA’s cybersecurity, IT acquisitions, and technical innovation. According to the DLA website, the agency is the U.S. military’s global logistics combat support arm, yet oversight and accountability remain glaring issues—especially with Roberts at the helm.
As Loomer Unleashed continues a rigorous vetting process of the new Trump administration officials, we are not just looking for Biden holdovers and Trump haters, but also DEI hires and individuals who support radical Marxist organizations like BLM, ANTIFA, the Trans Movement, and jihadist movements. In conducting this process, Loomer Unleashed has uncovered DoD Biden holdover Adarryl Roberts, who attempted to conceal his anti-Trump past by mass deleting his tweets.
Roberts’ DEI Advocacy and BLM Alignment
Roberts actively promoted DEI through the Pentagon’s “Taking the Pentagon to the People” initiative, collaborating with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to advance race-based hiring practices—a clear rejection of meritocracy.
His public support for BLM is well-documented: Loomer Unleashed uncovered Instagram and Facebook posts from June 2020 showing Roberts and a young woman believed to be his daughter wearing “BLACK LIVES MATTER” and “CAN’T BREATHE” shirts in support of George Floyd. He also participated in “Blackout Tuesday,” posting a blacked-out Facebook profile image to show solidarity with the BLM movement.

These posts were made the same year BLM-led riots caused at least $2 billion in damage nationwide, and at least 25 deaths.
Following the Tuesday, November 5, 2024 re-election of President Donald Trump, anti-Trump activists revived the BLM “Blackout Tuesday” campaign to protest the historic victory where Donald Trump achieved a non-consecutive second presidential term after winning every swing state, the popular vote, electoral college, and a Republican trifecta. It’s not known whether or not Roberts participated in this event as more recent posts made to his social media accounts appear to have been scrubbed.
Anti-Trump Commentary and Scrubbed Social Media
Roberts has also expressed clear anti-Trump sentiment. On X (formerly Twitter), his alias account @drknupe responded critically to a 2020 tweet by Ari Fleischer condemning the Left’s hypocrisy. Roberts defended the Democrat resistance against President Trump as legitimate activism, framing accusations of election fraud as more damaging than the alleged fraud itself. Many of his tweets have since been deleted, including those from another alias account, @NupeRoberts—a likely effort to avoid accountability under the new administration.
Does the DLA Serve a Legitimate Purpose?
Often called the “Walmart of the Military,” the DLA functions more like a bloated bureaucracy than an efficient logistics operation. Critics argue it duplicates the efforts of military branch logistics commands and the General Services Administration (GSA). Even users on military forums like Reddit echo widespread concerns about its waste and inefficiency.
Billions Wasted: A History of DLA Mismanagement
- 2015 (Politico): The DLA over-ordered V-22 Osprey parts for 80 years of use, costing $700,000 in storage fees. It also overspent $8.5 million on braking systems and $7.2 million on unneeded vehicles.
- 2016 (War Is Boring): DLA destroyed usable equipment, including engines and landing gear, due to poor inventory systems and red tape.
- 2018 (Ernst & Young Audit): Revealed $800 million in undocumented construction projects, $465 million in misstatements, and a failure to reconcile ledgers with the Treasury.
- 2022 (DoD IG Report): Billions in excess property were mismanaged. A Navy audit found $4.4 billion in untracked inventory. The Air Force identified $5.2 billion in ledger discrepancies.
- 2023 (House Oversight Investigation): Triggered by the Pentagon’s fifth consecutive audit failure, uncovering the DoD’s inability to account for 61% of its $3.5 trillion in assets.
- 2024 (GAO Report): Found DoD failed to use basic fraud detection tools while handling more taxpayer dollars than any federal agency. The department again failed its sixth audit, unable to account for 63% of its $3.8 trillion in assets.
Ukraine Aid—DLA Under Scrutiny
DLA has also faced scrutiny for its role in supplying Ukraine with aid. In FY 2024, it provided $14 million in Foreign Military Sales and $43.5 million in parts. However, GAO reports revealed serious lapses in oversight. In March 2025, President Trump halted all military aid to Ukraine, citing mismanagement and the need to focus on peace negotiations.
The DEI Problem Isn’t Solved
Although President Trump has moved to dismantle DEI across federal agencies, Roberts remains in place and the DLA’s 2025–2030 Strategic Plan still promotes DEI values. Buzzwords like “transformative innovation” mask the absence of real reform.
While the plan doesn’t explicitly mention DEI, several elements within the plan align with DEI principles, particularly under the “People” imperative. This imperative aims to build organizational agility through DLA’s people and culture, which implicitly encompasses DEI efforts. In the Core Values section, the plan outlines values such as “Respect”—where it is defined as fostering a positive environment where individuals feel “valued and heard, promoting cooperation and understanding.” This reads like a WOKE value that implicitly encompasses DEI efforts. In the Operating section, one of the sections titled “Empowerment,” focuses on enabling individuals to exercise disciplined initiative, which can be associated with inclusive leadership practices.
While the plan does not use verbatim DEI-specific terminology, the emphasis on inclusive values and workforce development suggests an alignment with DEI objectives.
It’s also important to note that the plan was published prior to President Trump’s executive orders aimed at dismantling DEI programs across federal agencies.
Why Can’t DoD Pass an Audit?
Defenders argue the Pentagon is too large to audit. But, private corporations like Amazon manage global operations and pass audits regularly.
Why is this such an issue for the DoD—specifically the DLA—when it is not an issue for other agencies in the Federal Government to pass a department-wide audit? The DOD remains the only federal agency in the country that has—not only failed—but consecutively failed six times to pass an independent audit—a requirement under federal law for all government agencies since the early 1990s—and has remained on the GAO’s High-Risk List for waste, fraud, and abuse for over 30 years. It is astonishing that the DoD has never passed an agency-wide audit.
The Pentagon’s continued failure—six years running—points not to complexity, but to institutional failure and a lack of consequences.
In March 2025, the DLA announced that it received an unmodified, or “clean,” audit opinion for its fiscal year 2024 National Defense Stockpile Transaction Fund financial statements. This marked the first such achievement since the agency assumed responsibility for the fund in 1988. However, it’s important to note that this audit pertains specifically to the National Defense Stockpile Transaction Fund, which is a smaller, more contained fund compared to the DLA’s larger Working Capital Fund.
As Senator Chuck Grassley put it, “From buying $14,000 toilet seats to losing track of warehouses full of spare parts (even vehicles and aircraft), the Department of Defense has been plagued by wasteful spending for decades.”
Hegseth Cuts $580 Million in Contracts and Grants with DOGE’s Help
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recently announced the cancellation of over $580 million in contracts and grants deemed misaligned with the Trump administration’s priorities. This initiative was part of a broader effort in collaboration with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, to identify and eliminate wasteful spending within the Department of Defense. Notably, $30 million worth of contracts with consulting firms Gartner and McKinsey for IT services were among those terminated.
This development illustrates the administration’s commitment to fiscal responsibility in stark contrast with previous instances of financial and personnel mismanagement within the DLA, reinforcing the need for stringent oversight and accountability.
Defense Secretary Hegseth has made it clear that the administration is refocusing and reinvesting budgeted DoD funds while eliminating waste. It is a top priority at the DoD to end the WOKE Biden-era wasteful spending and refocus funds towards building a force that actually protects and serves the best interests of the American people.
It’s Time for an ‘America First’ Deep Cleaning
Adarryl Roberts is a DEI ideologue and Biden holdover with a history of anti-Trump activism. His continued presence within the DoD—specifically the DLA—which has never even passed an audit, undermines the America First agenda and raises serious questions about personnel vetting. Trump’s executive orders were clear: eliminate DEI, restore meritocracy, and stop the abuse of taxpayer dollars.
The Pentagon—and specifically the DLA—should not be exempt from President Trump’s America First agenda. It is time to deep clean all corners of the federal government as the WOKE, waste, fraud, and corruption still lingers in the cobwebs.
