AOC and Bernie Sanders Private Jet-Set Tour Exposes Green New Deal Hypocrisy
Recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings reveal significant expenditures by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) for their joint “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, which began on February 21st, 2025. The tour, aimed at rallying opposition to the Trump administration, has drawn scrutiny for its substantial costs and hypocritical messaging, particularly regarding the Marxist duo’s use of private jets for travel, and AOC’s use of over $700,000 in grassroots donations for paid voter outreach services, despite her claims that her crowds are “organic”. AOC and Sanders are both vocal supporters of the Green New Deal, which seeks to limit air travel and the use of Fossil Fuels.
Additionally, mainstream media has reported that AOC and Sanders are drawing “authentic” crowds, despite AOC’s campaign spending heavily on list acquisition just prior to their tour and shortly after.

Notably, on March 18th, 2025, a single day’s expenditure on private jet travel amounted to $102,813.25, as reported in the filings. The tour has included stops in multiple cities, such as Omaha, Nebraska, and Iowa City, Iowa, with events held at venues like the Orpheum Theatre and the Englert Theatre.
AOC Dumps $700K Into List Building and Text Blasts
Meanwhile, Representative Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign, “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress,” has spent at least $690,000 on list acquisition and texting services between February 12th and March 31st, 2025. AOC’s political committee made the payments to Middle Seat Values, a Washington, D.C.-based political consulting firm that describes itself as a “full-service firm for progressive causes and candidates.” The firm’s website states its mission is to “support campaigns, organizations, and causes fighting for progressive change.” The largest single disbursement to Middle Seat Values from AOC’s Congressional Campaign was $250,000 on February 12th, 2025, followed by additional payments of $200,000 on March 31st, $140,000 on February 3rd, and $100,000 on March 17th.
Are the “Grassroots Crowds” Actually Manufactured?
AOC and Bernie Sanders have promoted the “Fighting Oligarchy” tour as a grassroots effort to engage supporters across the United States. Media reports have highlighted large crowds at events in both Democrat and Republican-leaning states. However, the significant spending on voter contact lists has raised questions about the composition of these audiences. AOC’s large expenditures on list acquisition and texting services suggest that her campaign is using the purchased lists to invite new voters from different demographics to the Fighting Oligarchy rallies. This indicates that the crowds now consist primarily of committed, organic Democrat voters.
Out-of-District Spending Fuels AOC 2028 Speculation

The high-profile nature of the events, combined with the substantial spending on out of state voter outreach, and a recent Presidential campaign style political video suggests AOC is making preparations for a potential U.S. Senate or presidential campaign in 2028. Ocasio-Cortez, who represents a safely Democrat district in New York City, has not publicly confirmed any plans to run for another higher elected office.
Progressive Playbook: Astroturf, Hypocrisy, and Ambition
One thing is certain: if AOC is running for higher office, she is already taking a page out of other high-ranking elected Democrats’ playbook, which features astroturfed crowds and hypocritical climate and economic policies.
Putting that ignorant bar-fly AOC in control of this nation would be like putting a chimpanzee in control of a B-1 bomber, and my money would be on the chimp for a better outcome.

The Green New Deal causes the average household electricity bill to go up a crushing $52,500.” David Wojick’s cost estimates are based on today’s supply and demand for the constituent minerals that go into the manufacture of backup batteries. Today, in the United States 38.4% of electricity is derived from wind/solar/hydroelectric/nuclear sources, most of which don’t require battery backup because electricity can be borrowed by the existing traditional electricity grid. As global demand increases for battery backup, the costs associated with mineral extraction will skyrocket at least ten-times what the costs are today, where we arrive at an average household cost of…

It should also be noted that the minerals needed to manufacture the world’s backup batteries to satisfy demand will take approximately 500 years to accomplish, meaning 99.9% or better of humanity will be annihilated, in compliance with Karl Marx’s 1843 directive to implement the “abolition of religion”, and the destruction of those civilizations “whose spiritual aroma is religion”.

Notice another absurdity of the “climate change” canard that’s never discussed…the 340 W/m2 figure in the NASA illustration constitutes Far Infrared Radiation (FIR) that the surface emits at night (FIR is only emitted at nighttime). Now, look at the figure for the daytime energy magnitude absorbed by the surface. See it? 163 W/m2. In other words, the “climate change” canard tells us that daytime temperatures are cooler than nighttime temperatures! This is the in-your-face absurdity of the “climate change” fraud.
** An energy density gradient is always in the direction of a downwards slope (think of water’s energy density gradient, does it slope upwards or downwards? ), not upwards against greater resistance! Moving closer towards the Earth’s surface, the atmospheric energy density gradient increases, while moving in the opposite direction the energy density gradient decreases.
