Democrat Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett contributed more than $50,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) during the 2024 election cycle, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records. The donations, channeled through her leadership PAC, Fueling Individual Rights Everywhere (FIRE) PAC, highlight her financial support for the party’s efforts to bolster Democratic candidates nationwide. Additionally, FEC filings reveal that Crockett’s campaign committee, Jasmine for US, donated $125,000 to the DCCC during the previous election cycle.
The DCCC utilized these funds in key 2024 races, including campaigns opposing then-Representative Lori Chavez-DeRemer, who has since been appointed Labor Secretary under President Donald Trump, and Representative David Schweikert of Arizona, a critical battleground state. The committee also directed resources to the Pennsylvania Democratic Party during the election cycle.
Crockett’s financial activities extend beyond donations. FEC records indicate that both FIRE PAC and Jasmine for US paid Blue Wave Political Partners, a consulting firm with ties to prominent Democrats, for services during the 2024 cycle. FIRE PAC disbursed $4,000 to the firm for compliance support, while Jasmine for US made 33 payments for compliance and digital strategy assistance. Blue Wave Political Partners has a history of working with high-profile figures, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, who paid the firm $140,000 for consulting during his 2022 campaign, and the Biden Victory Fund, which provided $40,000 for its services during the 2020 election.
The Texas congresswoman’s political activities have recently drawn scrutiny. On Tuesday, Crockett was involved in a physical altercation with Charles Downs, a reporter for Loomer Unleashed. The incident occurred after Downs questioned her about remarks she allegedly made during a Tesla-related organizing call, which some interpreted as encouraging violence at Tesla showrooms planned for March 29, 2025. When pressed to clarify her statements and asked whether she would condemn potential violence, Crockett reportedly muttered, “See what I have to deal with,” before grabbing Downs’ phone and hand.
The following day, House Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries declined to denounce potential violence at Tesla showrooms when asked by Loomer Unleashed. Notably, Jeffries had previously supported Crockett financially, contributing to her campaign in June 2022, prior to her election to Congress.
While some elected Democrats and media commentators have sought to distance Crockett from the party’s mainstream image, her substantial contributions to the DCCC and her engagement with established political consultants suggest she remains a significant figure within the congressional Democrat apparatus.
