On Thursday, Ranking Democrat Senate Judiciary Member Dick Durbin refused to answer if he was slow-walking Kash Patel’s confirmation over concerns that, as FBI Director, Kash Patel would make Jeffery Epstein’s flight log public. Immediately following our questioning of Durbin, Senate Democrats blocked Patel’s Senate Judiciary Committee vote, delaying it by one week. In the past, Durbin blocked Tennessee United States Senator Marsha Blackburn’s requests to subpoena Epstein’s flight logs. After the Senate Judiciary Democrats blocked Kash Patel’s committee vote, Senator Blackburn went to the Senate floor, saying she was confident that Kash Patel would work with her to release the Epstein files. It is sad that “Obstructing Trump” is the elected Democrat’s top policy priority.
As he walked to obstruct Kash Patel’s Senate Judiciary Committee vote, Loomer Unleashed asked Dick Durbin, “Are you slow walking Kash Patel’s nomination to be FBI Director because you’re afraid Kash is going to release the Epstein flight logs?”
Instead of answering our question, Durbin started screaming in what appeared to be an attempt to drown out our question.
Ranking Member Durbin obstructed Kash Patel’s hearing by enacting a Senate Rule that allows any committee member to call for a one-week delay of the committee vote. It should come as no surprise that Durbin is also a member of the Senate Rules Committee, which strongly indicates that Durbin was the mastermind of the Senate Judiciary Democrats’ obstruction plot.
It is important to note that when he was Senate Judiciary Chairman, Dick Durbin blocked Tennessee United States Senator Marsha Blackburn’s requests to subpoena Epstein’s flight logs and then lied about it during Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing. On January 30th, Blackburn posted to X, “Senator Durbin has repeatedly blocked my requests to subpoena the Epstein flight logs. Now he’s claiming that he didn’t know about my request. Well @SenatorDurbin, let me help refresh your memory.”
Senator Blackburn addressed the Senate floor to praise Kash Patel after Senator Durbin and his Senate Judiciary Democrats blocked Patel’s confirmation vote. Blackburn told the United States Senate, “I have repeatedly requested a subpoena for the Epstein flight logs from the FBI. As FBI Director, Kash Patel will work with me to release the Epstein files.”
Things continued escalating on Thursday, as the Senate Democrats Judiciary X account, which features a profile picture of Dick Durbin and a cover photo reading “Block Kash Patel, an unqualified extremist who will make us less safe,” posted, “By all means, release the Epstein files.”

It is sad that in a time of great peril when the United States is facing threats from within and on the outside, Senate Judiciary Democrats are obstructing the confirmation of the President of the United States FBI Nominee. The Senate Democrats’ obstructionist behavior has become politically toxic and unworkable. Once Kash Patel’s nominee advances to the United States Senate Floor, no Senate Republican has any excuse to vote against Kash Patel and with the Senate Democrats.
