Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar refused to answer Loomer Unleashed’s questions about President Trump’s defunding of UNRWA. Omar was confronted during Monday’s USAID protest, an agency President Trump placed under the control of Secretary of State Marco Rubio after it was discovered that the agency was still spending taxpayer dollars on DEI directives in foreign countries. The Trump Administration defunded UNRWA on Monday over the agency’s use of United States taxpayer dollars to fund terrorism. Sadly, supporting terrorism and DEI is clearly among Congressional Democrats’ top policy goals.
As she left the USAID protest, Ilhan Omar ran away after Loomer Unleashed asked her, “Congresswoman Omar, how do you feel about the Trump Administration’s decision today to end funding for UNRWA, which supports HAMAS and whose members participated in the October 7th attacks? We know you support HAMAS, so we would love to hear your opinion.”
It’s ironic that Omar refused to answer our question about UNRWA, considering that she has posted her support of the organization. Omar once posted to X, “The spending package included a provision to cut funding to UNRWA. We know this will likely mean a death sentence for 1.1 million people in Gaza facing imminent threats of famine. Voted NO.”
Omar also posted, “We must restore funding to UNRWA now. With this bill to restore UNRWA funding, we have an opportunity to bring back life-saving care to nearly 6 million Palestinian refugees. It’s time to show moral courage and stand up for the vulnerable.”
Libs of TikTok Creator Chaya Raichik captioned our video, “Ilhan Omar is not having a good day. Two of her favorite organizations were defunded. Hamas supporting UNRWA and Somalia’s ATM at USAID.”
On Monday, UN Ambassador-designate Elise Stefanik posted about President Trump’s decision to defund UNRWA, “Today’s Executive Order is the correct action by President Trump to deliver America First peace through strength moral leadership. The UN Human Rights Council is a den of human rights abusers and disgraceful and obsessive antisemitism. UNRWA must be defunded and dismantled. U.S. taxpayers dollars should NEVER prop up terrorism. Full stop.”
President Trump’s decision to defund UNRWA is winning over Senate Republicans as Indiana Senator Jim Banks posted, “The so-called ‘Human Rights Council’ is run by the worst human rights abusers in the world and UNRWA is nothing more than a mouthpiece for Hamas. American tax dollars shouldn’t support this. I fully support President Trump’s withdrawal!”
President Trump, along with House and Senate Republicans, understands the simple fact that American voters do not want their taxes to go to funding terrorism and DEI. Ilhan Omar’s history of defending UNRWA shows just how out of touch elected Democrats are with the American people. House and Senate Republicans must remain united against the elected Democrats’ obstruction, as President Trump’s victory in November is a mandate to end America’s absurd policies of funding DEI and terrorism.
