President Trump scored a massive victory in the Senate on Friday night. Vice President JD Vance broke the 50-50 tie to confirm Pete Hegseth as America’s next Secretary of Defense. Senate Democrats tried their best to obstruct Hegseth’s nomination by slow-walking his floor vote and heaving unfounded allegations accusing Hegseth of being a “drunk.” Hegseth’s confirmation sets forth momentum for President Trump’s other nominees like Kash Patel.
Vice President JD Vance arrived at the United States Senate wearing a blue suit and black tie to cast the tie-breaking vote that confirmed Pete Hegseth as America’s Secretary of Defense.
Senate Democrats tried their best to obstruct Hegseth’s nomination by slow-walking his floor vote. On Wednesday, Loomer Unleashed asked third-ranked Senate Democrat Amy Klobuchar, “Why is the Senate Democrat Leadership slow-walking President Trump’s Nominees confirmation floor votes?”
The Senate Democrats deranged obstruction efforts against Hegseth also included calling him a “drunk” by using unfounded claims. On Friday, Loomer Unleashed Senate Armed Services Committee Member Elizabeth Warren, “What qualifies you to vote against Pete Hegseth when you support dangerous open border policies?
Warren responded: “You know I really have to answer. It’s dangerous to national security when we have someone who has repeatedly been drunk. I care about the national security of the United States because I care about my children and grandchildren.”
It’s ironic that Warren referred to Hegseth as “drunk” when she posted videos to her social media of herself drinking.
Last week, Elizabeth Warren sprinted into her Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Pete Hegseth’s confirmation after Loomer Unleashed asked her, “What qualifies you to vote against Pete Hegseth when you support dangerous open border policies?”
Last Tuesday, Warren called Hegseth on X “the most unqualified Defense Secretary nominee in US history…How can we trust him to protect our national security?”
It is interesting that Warren chooses to attack Hegseth’s qualifications when Warren supports dangerous open border policies. Warren once referred to mass deportations as a policy that is “going in the wrong direction,” posting, “Republican demands are so extreme that if passed they would be the most severe immigration restriction since the 1920s racial quota laws. Mass deportations & gutting the asylum system not only betray our values, but create more chaos at the border. This is the wrong direction.”
Warren also attacked Trump’s Remain in Mexico, posting, “The Remain in Mexico policy is cruel, puts vulnerable people’s lives at risk, and should be done away with immediately. We’re now a step closer to reversing Donald Trump’s ineffective and dangerous border policies, and we must continue restoring a humane asylum system.”
The Senate Democrats’ treatment of Hegseth shows that the Left attempted to obstruct President Trump’s most important policies, like secure borders and a non-woke military. The Senate GOP should be thanked and encouraged to continue to fight back against the Senate Democrats’ obstruction efforts.
