Incoming Senate GOP Leader John Thune posted late Wednesday on X that the rise of ISIS makes it crucial that the United States Senate move quickly to confirm President Trump’s national security nominees. It will be interesting to see how Senate Democrats and Republicans like Lisa Murkowski react to Leader Thune’s statement. Lisa Murkowski informed Loomer Unleashed in late December that she was uncommitted to voting for Kash Patel as FBI Director, while Senate Democrats have attacked Kash Patel’s “qualifications” to lead the FBI. Hopefully, for America’s national security, Senate Republicans and Democrats will unify and vote to confirm Kash Patel as President Trump’s FBI Director.
Incoming Senate Majority Leader Thune’s statement calling for President Trump’s national security nominees like Kash Patel to be quickly confirmed read, “Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the senseless terror attack in New Orleans. With reports of ISIS inspiration, the American people expect clear answers from the administration. The threat posed by ISIS will outlast this administration, and this is a clear example of why the Senate must get President Trump’s national security team in place as quickly as possible.”
It will be interesting to see how Senate Democrats and Republicans like Lisa Murkowski react to Leader Thune’s statement. Senator Murkowski informed Loomer Unleashed in late December she was uncommitted to voting to confirm Kash Patel as FBI Director telling us, “I have not had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Patel. Anyone asking me for votes needs to check in with me in the new year.”
The Senate Judiciary Democrats have attacked Kash Patel’s qualifications to lead the FBI. This lead Loomer Unleashed to ask Senate Democrat Judiciary Committee Member Adam Schiff, “What qualifies Senate Judiciary Democrats to vote against Kash Patel when you guys support dangerous open border policies?”
Schiff replied to our question, ” I’m Sorry I’m late. I have to get to the committee.”
We responded, “It is a good question, isn’t it?”
Loomer Unleashed also greeted Senate Judiciary Chairman Dick Durbin, “Good morning, Senator; what qualifies Senate Judiciary Democrats to vote against Kash Patel when you guys support open border policies?”
Instead of answering, Durbin raised his hand and said, “Stop.”
We responded, saying, “It is a legitimate question, Senator.”
FBI reform is desperately needed. Hours after the New Orleans terrorist attack, the special FBI agent on the ground informed the media, “This is not a terrorist event. Right now, improvised explosive devices were found. We will be taking over the investigative lead for this event.”
The FBI agent made the original false claim of the New Orleans terrorist attack not being a terrorist attack despite video from the attack showing the ISIS flag being displayed on the terrorist’s truck as he drove over people. This leads to the fundamental question: did the FBI not see the video of the attack, or did the FBI knowingly lie to the American people in their original remarks? Either way, the FBI is guilty of being incompetent.
Voters have given President Trump a mandate to enforce policies intended to keep Americans safe. The United States Senate must follow Incoming Majority Leader Thune’s demands by quickly confirming President Trump’s national security nominees, like Kash Patel.
