Vivek, Elon, And Joni Ernst Prioritizing Immigrants Over The American Worker Raises Questions About DOGE

Serious questions about DOGE’s true intentions have been raised since its leaders, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, recently supported reforming America’s green card system. Musk and Ramaswamy would prefer an American immigration system that rapidly rewards and extends green cards, resulting in big tech being able to hire more foreign-born workers. After being criticized for their anti-American worker policies, Musk referred to Laura Loomer as an intention-seeking troll, while Vivek blamed American TV and culture for big tech preferring to hire immigrants over Americans. It is important to note that Iowa United States Senator Joni Ernst, the DOGE Caucus founder in the Senate, also supports immigrants over American workers. Following President Trump’s election victory, Ernst informed illegal immigrants in Iowa not to fear being deported. Musk, Ernst, and Ramaswamy’s embrace of policies disregarding the American worker should make Trump voters uneasy about the true intention of DOGE.

Following DOGE founders Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s relentless support of an American immigration system that rapidly rewards and extends green cards, Laura Loomer questioned whether DOGE’s true intention was to enforce policies that big tech supports, like a rapidly expanded immigration system that would allow big tech to hire more foreign workers.

Elon Musk responded to Laura Loomer’s reasonable questions about DOGE, posting, “Loomer is trolling for attention. Ignore.”

Vivek Ramaswamy responded to criticisms of supporting a rapidly expanded immigration system allowing big tech to hire more foreign workers by blaming American culture for big tech preferring to hire immigrants over Americans. In a post, Vivek wrote, “The reason top tech companies often hire foreign-born & first-generation engineers over “native” Americans isn’t because of an innate American IQ deficit (a lazy & wrong explanation). A key part of it comes down to the c-word: culture. Tough questions demand tough answers & if we’re really serious about fixing the problem, we have to confront the TRUTH: Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long (at least since the 90s and likely longer). That doesn’t start in college, it starts YOUNG.”

Vivek’s post attacking American culture as reasoning for big tech preferring to hire immigrants over American workers even drew criticism from Nikki Haley.

It is important to note that Vivek and Musk’s refusal to address DOGE’s American worker policies is made even more erroneous by the fact that DOGE’s United States Caucus founder, Iowa Senator Joni Ernst, supports open borders. Senator Ernst informed Iowa illegal immigrants days after President Trump’s election victory that they should not worry about being deported.

On November 22, 2024, Senator Ernst released a statement reading, “Iowans elected me with a mandate to cut Washington’s pork and make ‘em squeal! Senator Ernst’s statement continues with Vivek praising the selection of Ernst to lead DOGE: “’We look forward to partnering with the Senate to downsize government. I am grateful to Senator Joni Ernst for her excellent suggestions yesterday,’ said Vivek Ramaswamy, co-leader of DOGE.”

Elon, Vivek, and Ernst’s embrace of policies that favor immigrants over the American worker has raised many questions about the true nature of DOGE. If Elon, Vivek, and Ernst truly care about voters’ opinions, they will address the concerns surrounding DOGE and anti-American worker policies.
