New Senate GOP Majority Leader John Thune and RSC Chair Tim Scott have responded late to Outgoing Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey and top Democratic Lawyer Marc Elias’s attempts to overturn Bob Casey’s election loss in Pennsylvania. Casey and Elias have attempted to overturn Casey’s election loss for the last few weeks. Casey even launched a fundraiser for his cause while Incoming Pennsylvania Senator David McCormick attended new Senator Orientation on Capitol Hill. On Saturday morning, Laura Loomer criticized Thune and Scott’s silence. Following Laura Loomer’s post, Thune and Scott finally released statements about Casey’s attempts to overturn his election loss. Thune and Scott’s time mismanagement over these last few days has been awful. Not only have Thune and Scott been late in condemning Casey, but they have also reportedly been empowering RINOs. Laura Loomer reported that sources informed her that RSC Chair Scott wants to reward RSC contracts to Mitt Romney staffer Matt Gorman, who responded to Loomer’s report by denying it and saying he does not work in politics. Gorman’s X page states he works for Targeted Victory, a firm with close ties to Tim Scott. Casey’s actions show Senate Democrats are serious about obstructing Trump’s agenda. It is concerning that Senate GOP Leadership has shown little eagerness to fight back.
On Saturday morning, following Outgoing Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey’s weeks, antics of attempting to overturn his election loss, Laura Loomer posted to X, “Why are @SenJohnThune and @SenatorTimScott both SILENT over the fact that the Democrats are trying to Steal the Pennsylvania Senate race for @SenBobCasey?This is what failed leadership looks like.”
Following Laura Loomer’s post, Scott and Thune called on Outgoing Senator Casey to concede. However, the damage potentially could already be done as blue cities in Pennsylvania continue counting ballots despite questions of the ballot’s legality.

Laura Loomer reported that sources informed her that RSC Chair Scott wants to reward RSC contracts to Mitt Romney staffer Matt Gorman, who likes attacking Trump like his former boss Mitt Romney. Gorman once said on Meet the Press that Jack Smith’s arrest of Donald Trump made Trump politically weaker.
Matt Gorman responded to Loomer’s report by denying his NRSC connections and saying he does not work in politics. However, Gorman’s X page states he works for Targeted Victory, a firm with close ties to Tim Scott as Targred Victory CEO Zac Moffatt has “all in for Tim Scott in his X bio.”
Laura Loomer posted about Thune and Scott’s empowerment of RINOs, “I like free speech too and I would like @SenatorTimScott to know that I will be monitoring the FEC reports to see if he hands out a contract to @TargetedVictory this cycle. And if he does, I’m going to use my own email list and my own extensive Rolodex to contact Republican donors and make sure they never donate to the NRSC so that MAGA money doesn’t go toward Romney operatives buying another beach house or some clothes for their sister wives.”
It is concerning, to say the least, that Senate GOP Leadership has spent their time ignoring Outgoing Senator Casey’s antics and empowering RINOS. Voters must demand better from Senate GOP Leadership.
