The GOP’s globalist policy wing loves sticking together. FEC records show that three of the four biggest donors to Nikki Haley’s Stand For America PAC INC also gave to John Thune and John Cornyn. One of Nikki Haley’s most prominent donors, Ken Griffin, who also backs John Cornyn, called President Trump a “three-time loser” and urged him to step aside for Ron DeSantis. Mitch McConnell has groomed Cornyn and Thune to take over as Senate GOP Leader. It is important to note that Thune has the same beliefs about Trump as Cornyn’s donor, Ken Griffin, as Thune once called for Trump to step aside for Mike Pence. President Trump recently posted to TruthSocial that Nikki Haley would not be part of his administration. The election results have made clear that voters want to turn the page on globalist policies. The Senate GOP should respect the voters’ wishes by denying Thune and Cornyn the Senate GOP Leadership position.
FEC records show that three of the four largest donors to Nikki Haley’s Stand for America Pac INC include Paul Singer ($5 million), Ken Griffin ($3 million), and Ryan Shirley ($2.5 million.)
It should be no surprise that Singer, Griffin and Shirley also back John Cornyn and John Thune. FEC records show that Ryan Shirley recently donated almost $60k to John Thune’s 2024 Thune Republican Senate Victory PAC.
FEC records also show that Ken Griffin and Paul Singer donated to John Cornyn’s Texans for John Cornyn INC in 2019.
It is important to note that Nikki Haley and John Cornyn’s donor Ken Griffin, once called Trump a “three-time loser” and urged him to step aside for Ron DeSantis, saying, “I’d like to think that the Republican Party is ready to move on from somebody who has been for this party a three-time loser.”
John Thune has the same beliefs about President Trump as John Cornyn’s donor, Ken Griffin, as Thune once posted to X, “Donald Trump should withdraw and Mike Pence should be our nominee effective immediately.”
John Cornyn, like his allies Nikki Haley and Ken Griffin, also did not want Donald Trump to win the GOP Primary. In May 2023, Cornyn said that Trump can’t win the 2024 election because he is not “electable.” It is important to note that Cornyn attended a D.C. fundraiser for then-presidential candidate Ron DeSantis. Cornyn eventually endorsed Trump after Trump won the Iowa Caucus by a record margin.
President Trump seems determined to keep globalists out of his new administration, as he recently posted to TruthSocial, “I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation.
