John Cornyn Embraces Forever War Policies

John Cornyn seems very eager to extend the forever war in Ukraine. Since the war started, Cornyn has visited Ukraine on a trip organized by Mitch McConnell and has backed McConnell and Schumer’s Continuing Spending Resolutions, which have sent billions of United States taxpayer dollars to Ukraine. Cornyn’s social media posts show that the Texas Senator is eager to expand the war in Ukraine, as he has written out support for arming Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets and massive amounts of ammunition. It is important to note that one of John Cornyn’s donors is globalist Ken Griffin, who also supports the forever war in Ukraine. Cornyn and Griffin also have Trump hatred in common as Griffin called Trump a “three-time loser” in a rant calling on Trump to step aside for Ron DeSantis, and Cornyn said Trump was “unelectable” in May of 2023. Cornyn’s disloyalty to Trump and embracement of forever wars should disqualify him from GOP Senate Leadership consideration.

John Cornyn visited Ukraine just before the United States Senate voted to send billions more of United States taxpayer dollars to the country. Of course, Mitch McConnell organized Cornyn’s trip to Ukraine. Cornyn thanked McConnell for organizing the trip, saying, “I’m grateful to Leader McConnell for putting together this past weekend’s trip. I found it enormously educational.”

Cornyn’s social media posts on his official United States Senate X account also show that he is eager to expand the forever war in Ukraine, with one post reading, “Ukraine should be allowed to use Western weapons including F-16 fighter jets to hit targets inside Russia, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen says.”

Another post from Cornyn seems to signal support for Biden’s spending because it included funding for Ukraine, with the post reading, “President Biden is asking for $56 billion for domestic programs, as part of an emergency request unveiled yesterday. The request comes in addition to the $106 billion Biden is asking for Israel, Ukraine, and other foreign assistance programs.”

It is important to note that FEC records show that one of John Cornyn’s donors is globalist Ken Griffin, who also supports the forever war in Ukraine.

Ken Griffin supports the cause of forever wars so much that he once forced Ron DeSantis to change his Ukraine policy to favor policies that would ensure Ukraine remained another American forever war.

John Cornyn and Ken Griffin also have Trump hatred in common. Griffin once called Trump a “three-time loser” and urged him to step aside for Ron DeSantis, saying, “I’d like to think that the Republican Party is ready to move on from somebody who has been for this party a three-time loser.”

Cornyn agreed with Griffin in hoping that the GOP presidential primary would result in someone other than Trump. In May 2023, Cornyn said that Trump can’t win the 2024 election because he is not “electable.” It is important to note that Cornyn attended a D.C. fundraiser for then-presidential candidate Ron DeSantis. Cornyn eventually endorsed Trump after Trump won the Iowa Caucus by a record margin.

John Cornyn’s forever war policies and disloyalty to Trump should make clear to GOP senators that voting for Cornyn will go directly against their constituents’ wishes.
