In the wake of President Trump announcing Ohio Senator JD Vance as his running mate, Vivek Ramaswamy informed Laura Loomer Wednesday that he would seek President Trump’s opinion on a potential Ohio United States Senate run. Southwest Ohio has become a key area for President Trump’s MAGA movement, as both Ramaswamy and Vance proudly come from the Cincinnati, Ohio, area.
Laura Loomer asked Vivek Ramaswamy,” Now that Ohio Senator JD Vance has been selected as VP, there are rumors that you will run for the Ohio Senate Seat. Confirm or deny?”
Ramaswamy: ” I mean, it’s not a confirm or deny thing. It just came up yesterday; I have not thought about it. But at the same time, you have to ask yourself how you can best serve the country. So I am going to talk to President Trump and see what I can do to have the biggest impact, whether it’s through the executive branch or the leglestive branch. “
Loomer: ” Well, if it’s through the Senate, you have my support, and the Loomer Unleashed oppo machine is behind you.“
Laura Loomer captioned her video, ” I asked @VivekGRamaswamy if he plans on running for JD Vance’s @JDVance1 Senate seat in Ohio now that JD is going to be VP. Vivek said he will be speaking to President Trump very soon about whether he should run for Senate or serve in the Trump administration. He said he will do what President Trump recommends.”
South West Ohio has been critical to President Trump’s MAGA movement as both Vance and Ramaswamy are from the Cincinnati area. Following the announcement as Vance as Trump’s VP pick, Ramaswamy wrote, “So proud of my friend, classmate, and fellow southwest Ohioan today. We used to watch Bengals games at the bar in law school, it’s awesome we’re now here a decade later with JD joining the strongest presidential ticket in our lifetime. He’ll be an outstanding Vice President and I look forward to everything ahead for him and for our country.”
Ramaswamy also gave an excellent speech at the RNC Convention Wednesday night, saying, “We’re in the middle of a national identity crisis. Faith, patriotism, hard work, and family have disappeared – replaced by race, gender, sexuality & climate. But we’re not going to win this election by just criticizing the other side. We’re going to WIN this by standing for our own vision.”
Ramaswamy went on to say, “If you want to seal the border, vote Trump. If you want to restore law and order, vote Trump. If you want to reignite our economy, vote Trump. If you want to revive national pride, vote Trump. If you want to make America great again, vote Trump.”
One thing is for certain. Regardless of the position, Vivek Ramaswamy is poised to make a meaningful impact on America.
