New polling from Kaplan Strategies shows Dr. Jeff Gunter has overtaken Sam Brown as the frontrunner in the Nevada GOP Senate Primary that will be held on June 11th. The same survey also shows that 41% of Nevada GOP voters want President Trump to endorse Dr. Gunter, while only 28% want Trump to endorse Brown. Trump will hold a rally in Nevada on Sunday. It is not hard to see why Gunter has overtaken Brown as Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell has dumped massive amounts of time and energy into Brown’s campaign. This has resulted in Brown making horrific anti-Trump statements. On August 25th, 2023, the day after President Trump was arrested and had his mug shot taken in Fulton County, Georgia, Brown informed Punchbowl News that he would not endorse Trump. Brown continues to receive lousy polling news. A poll conducted in late May showed Sam Brown is trailing his potential Democrat opponent, Jacky Rosen, by 10 points, while the same survey shows that President Trump is beating Biden in the state by 8 points. This means Trump and Brown are apart by 18 points. The numbers make clear that President Trump is popular in Nevada, and Sam Brown is not.
The most powerful stat from Kaplan Strategies’ latest polling on the Nevada GOP United States Senate Primary is that 41% of Nevada GOP voters want President Trump to endorse Dr. Jeff Gunter, while only 28% want Trump to endorse Sam Brown. Trump will be holding a rally in Nevada on Sunday.

Kaplan Strategies is not the first bad polling Sam Brown has received recently. Polling taken on May 21st shows President Trump leading Biden in Nevada by 8 points, while the same poll shows GOP Senate Candidate Sam Brown trailing his potential Democrat opponent Jacky Rosen by 10 points.
It should not be surprising that an 18-point margin separates President Trump and Brown as Brown is Mitch McConnell’s handpicked candidate. FEC records show that on December 22, 2023, McConnell’s Bluegrass Committee donated $5,000 to Sam Brown for Nevada. McConnell also hosted a fundraiser for Brown in D.C. during December of 2023.
Brown’s close relationship with McConnell has resulted in Brown failing to support President Trump at critical times during Biden’s “Get Trump” witch hunts. On August 25th, 2023, the day after President Trump was arrested and had his mug shot taken in Fulton County, Georgia, Brown informed Punchbowl News that he would not endorse Trump. Punchbowl reported, “Brown is being exceptionally cautious when it comes to Trump. The numbers clarify that Nevada GOP voters support President Trump but have no interest in backing Sam Brown.
