House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik Joins President Trump in Demanding Judge Merchan’s Recusal Following Loomer’s Exclusive Reporting on Merchan’s Anti-Trump Bias

New York Representative and House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik joined President Trump in demanding that Judge Merchan recuse himself from presiding over Trump’s upcoming trial on charges brought by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. Stefanik and Trump’s statements cite Judge Merchan’s daughter’s work for Authentic Campaigns and her X account as the primary reasons for Merchan’s recusal. Loomer exclusively reported that Loren Merchan is the partner and part-owner of Authentic Campaigns, a firm whose “featured client” is the Biden-Harris Campaign. Loren Merchan’s X account, known as @LorenM426, featured a profile picture of President Trump behind bars in a jail cell. We also reported that Judge Merchan’s wife, Lara Merchan, was a paid employee of New York Attorney General Letitia James’s office. AG James ran on a platform to” get Trump.” The Democrat Attorney’s General Association also paid Judge Merchan’s daughter’s company, Authentic Campaigns, for consulting work. The facts make clear that Judge Merchan must recuse himself for President Trump to receive a fair trial.

Critical parts of President Trump’s attorney statement read,”Last week, the Court used the Office of Court Administration to issue a statement relating to an X account used at some point by Your Honor’s daughter. As public scrutiny of these issues increased, the account in question appears to have been closed to the public.”

The statement continues, “Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee for president in the 2024 election. Your Honor’s daughter is an executive and partner at Authentic Campaigns, Ine. Authentic has used social media to market its connections to President Biden and Vice President Harris while deriding President Trump. Authentic and Your Honor’s daughter are making money by supporting the creation and dissemination of campaign advocacy for President Trump’s opponent, political rivals, and the Democrat party. It can no longer be ignored that Authentic’s commercial interests are benefitted by developments in this case that harm President Trump’s penal interests and divert his efforts from running his leading campaign for the presidency by requiring him to prepare and sit for trial during the general election.”

Elise Stefanik’s statement reads similarly, “Democrat Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan, who donated to Biden’s campaign and another anti-Trump cause in 2020, has a clear judicial bias against President Trump. Merchan’s adult daughter is a Democrat political operative who has financially benefited from her father’s unprecedented trial of President Trump.”

Stefanik’s statement continues, “The law and common sense absolutely requires Judge Merchan’s recusal from President Trump’s trial. We cannot allow a biased, far-left activist judge to strip the American people of our constitutional right to select their own leaders.”

Loomer previously reported that screenshots show Loren Merchan’s X account resharing a photo of her speaking at an Authentic Campaigns event, an organization she is part-owner of. A zoomed-in photo shows Merchan’s @LorenM426 handle flashing behind her on the podium. An X post from Authentic Campaigns on January 9th, 2020, stated that Authentic Campaigns was “excited to announce that Loren Merchan is being named partner and part-owner of Authentic Campaigns.” Loren Merchan’s X account, @LorenM426, shared this announcement.

Authentic Campaigns’ website lists the Biden-Harris campaign as its “Featured Client.” Other clients of Authentic Campaigns include Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Governor Gavin Newsom, Adam Schiff and the Wisconsin Democratic Party. This raises a significant question: how is President Trump supposed to receive a fair trial when the judge presiding over his case has a daughter whose client is Trump’s main political rival?

The New York Democrats controlling the state are deranged to “get Trump.” The prospects of President Trump receiving a fair trial look less likely each day Judge Merchan refuses to recuse himself from the case.
