South Dakota United States Senator John Thune announced Monday that he is running to replace Mitch McConnell as Senate GOP Leader. Thune’s announcement is no surprise as Team McConnell has groomed Thune over the years to be Mitch’s replacement. Thune’s policy positions are in line with McConnell’s, calling for more United States taxpayer aid for Ukraine. Worse, Thune whipped votes against the House GOP’s efforts to contest the 2020 election, saying that challenges to Biden will go down like “a shot dog.” Thune has also taken donations from BlackRock’s PAC. Like McConnell, BlackRock has been heavily criticized for its close relationship with the Chinese Communist Party. It is clear that globalists hope to insert Senator John Thune as the next GOP Senate Leader.
FEC records show that Mitch McConnell’s Bluegrass Committee has frequently donated to Friends of John Thune since 2009. Thune has long stood by McConnell’s side, even helping the GOP Senate Leader off the podium following his many “freeze-ups.”
It should come as no surprise that Thune and McConnell have the same policy positions. Thune has supported funding Ukraine, including voting “yea” on February’s $95 billion foreign aid bill, which heavily funds Ukraine. Thune sounded like McConnell’s clone, stating, “Withdrawing American support for Ukraine could very well end up with a victorious and newly emboldened Putin on the doorstep of four former Soviet satellite states – now NATO members whom we are bound by treaty to protect.”
Like McConnell, John Thune worked against the House GOP’s efforts to challenge the 2020 election results. Thune claimed that any House GOP election integrity efforts would “go down like a shot” in the United States Senate. It is important to note that on December 15th, 2020, McConnell went to the Senate floor to “congratulate Joe Biden on his election win.”
Thune was one of the few Republicans who praised McConnell following the announcement that McConnell was stepping down as Senate GOP Leader. Thune’s statement read, “For decades, he’s been a fierce defender of the Senate, our conference, and our party, and we’re all the better for his service. Mitch leaves enormous shoes to fill, and it’s with humility that I look forward to having a discussion with my colleagues about what the future holds for the Senate Republican Conference and a new generation of leadership. Until then, thank you, Mitch.”
Mitch McConnell is not the only globalist donating to Thune. FEC records show that BlackRock Funds Service Group LLC PAC has been donating to Friends of John Thune since 2010. BlackRock, like McConnell, has been heavily criticized for its CCP influence, which is forcing American companies to embrace woke capital or risk being canceled from the financial market.
Globalist forces have been preparing for Mitch McConnell’s retirement as Senate GOP Leader by grooming John Thune. It is imperative that MAGA GOP Senators do all they can to stop Thune’s rise to power. If they fail, the United States Senate will be under globalist control for at least the next two decades.
