Lincoln Project and Former Hillary Clinton Lawyer Marc Elias said the quiet part out loud, posting on X that President Trump has “a tough jury pool” if Jack Smith’s J6 case against Trump proceeds. Smith’s case is on hold as the United States Supreme Court is set to hear President Trump’s presidential immunity claim in April. SCOTUS will likely rule on Trump’s immunity claims in late May or early June. Unsurprisingly, the Lincoln Project has cheered on Jack Smith’s arrest of Trump and criticized SCOTUS’ decision to take up President Trump’s immunity case. Trump has long called for his trial to be moved out of Washington D.C.. Democrats suffering loss after loss to Trump in the courtroom has the Left determined to bring Trump’s J6 case to a biased D.C. jury pool before November’s election.

Marc Elias admitted that President Trump will not receive a fair trial if Jack Smith’s J6 case is allowed to proceed. Elias posted on X, “In a city of 700,000, Donald Trump got 676 votes in the GOP primary. A tough jury pool….”

President Trump said he avoided the Washington D.C. Primary, posting on TruthSocial, “I purposely stayed away from the D.C. Vote because it is the “Swamp,” with very few delegates and no upside. Birdbrain spent all of her time, money, and effort there. Over the weekend, we won Missouri, Idaho, and Michigan—BIG NUMBERS—complete destruction of a very weak opponent. The really big numbers will come on Super Tuesday. Also, WAY UP ON CROOKED JOE!”

Elias has been working hard to kick off President Trump’s trial in D.C. before November’s election. FEC records show the Lincoln Project made 13 payments to Elias Law Group in 2023. In November of 2023, Loomer Unleashed published an article highlighting seven 2023 payments the Lincoln Project made to Elias Law Group.

The United States Senate acquitted President Trump on Speaker Pelosi’s insurrection charges. Jack Smith charged Trump with J6-related charges despite the U.S. Senate finding Trump not guilty, laying the groundwork for fundamental Constitutional questions on presidential immunity.

Despite these facts, the Lincoln Project accused The Supreme Court of entertaining Trump’s “stupid stunts” after the court decided to take up Trump’s presidential immunity case. The Lincoln Project posted, “SCOTUS’ senseless decision to hear Trump’s immunity case is a sign that they are willing to entertain his baseless and stupid stunts. @TaraSetmayer on #TheBreakdown says it serves the convenient purpose of delaying the resuming of Jack Smith’s case which grants him time.”

President Trump has long called for his trial to be moved away from Washington D.C., posting on TruthSocial in August 2023, “NO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL, OR EVEN CLOSE TO A FAIR TRIAL IN WASHINGTON DC.”

Marc Elias and other top Democrats understand that holding a J6 trial in biased Washington D.C. is one of their last remaining options to attempt to “get Trump” before November’s election. If Trump’s D.C. trial is allowed to begin before the election, then America’s scales of justice may be broken beyond repair.
