Former Lincoln Project Director Joins Ex-Clinton and Biden Staffers in Forming Primary Pivot PAC to Get Dems Voting for Haley in the GOP Primary

Lincoln Project Executive Director Sarah Lenti has teamed up with ex-Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Pete Buttigieg staffers to form Primary Pivot PAC, an organization focused on getting Democrat voters to register as Republicans so they can vote for Nikki Haley in the GOP primary. Primary Pivot PAC’s primary goal is to “defeat Trump in the 2024 GOP primaries.” All this should come as no surprise. Loomer shared a screenshot of Primary Pivot PAC’s text message to Massachusetts Democrat voters that read, “URGENT message for Massachusetts Democrats: Do you want to defend democracy by voting against Trump in the Republican primary? You need to change your party affiliation to “Unenrolled” in order to make your vote count in the only competitive primary. On the Democratic side, Joe Biden is going to win the nomination in a landslide. On the Republican side, Nikki Haley and Donald Trump are very different. Trump is a proud election denier. Haley recognizes Biden won.”

Massachusetts has started a campaign to enroll Democrats as unaffiliated voters in Massachusetts as a way to deny President Trump delegates and help @NikkiHaley beat Trump in the primary.

Primary Pivot PAC’s website has specific instructions for Democrat voters in every state on changing their registration status to Republican via their convenient drop-down menu so they can vote for Nikki Haley in the GOP Primary. One of Primary Pivot’s more interesting instructions to Democrat voters read, “Vote in your state’s Republican primary or caucus for the remaining candidate challenging Trump for the Republican nomination, Nikki Haley.”

Primary Pivot PAC’s state drop-down menu is scarily effective. We tested it using California, the state that awards the most GOP delegates. Primary Pivot PAC provided a button for Calforina Democart users to click, leading them to the correct landing page of the California Secretary of State’s website where they can change their registration to Republican.

Primary Pivot PAC states its mission is: “protecting our democracy by defeating Donald Trump in the 2024 Republican primaries.” Their mission statement continues, “Our purpose is not to engage in partisan politics, but to safeguard the core values that have guided our country for generations.”

Notable staffers who make up Primary Pivot PAC’s staff include Former Executive Director of the Lincoln Project Sarah Lenti, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Field Organizer Tashawna Gill, former Joe Biden advisor Christopher Richardson, and Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 Black Engagement Director Tiffany James.
