We call upon Governor Ron DeSantis to prioritize the needs of the great state of Florida and its residents over his fruitless pursuit of the 2024 Presidential election. As Governor of Florida and a public servant entrusted with the well-being of the state, it is imperative that he fulfills his responsibilities and commitments to Florida before considering a run for the presidency.
Governor DeSantis, you were elected to serve the people of Florida and to address the pressing issues that the state faces. Yet, as you embark on a delusional presidential campaign for 2024, we are witnessing a concerning neglect of the needs of your home state. While it is natural for political figures to have higher political aspirations, it should never come at the expense of the people who put their trust in your leadership.
During your second term as Governor, you have a responsibility to tackle the challenges that the state is grappling with, including healthcare, education, infrastructure, immigration, the mounting insurance crisis and economic recovery. Neglecting these crucial issues in pursuit of personal ambitions sends a clear message that you are putting your political career above the well-being of Floridians.
