During Saturday Shabbat services at Beth Israel Synagogue in Texas, a reformed Judaism temple, a man was heard on Facebook live stream claiming to be the brother of Affai Siddiqui and demanding her release. The man also demanded to speak with her. Reformed synagogues allow technology and live streams for their services; over 8,000 people listened while the hostage attack occurred.

The man was caught on a Facebook live stream saying, ” I am going to die after this,” ranting about Islam, “Palestine,” and claiming the American system “was f–ed.”

Jews have been held hostage within this synagogue for over five hours. The situation is ongoing.

Jerusalem Post reported:

According to multiple news outlets, the gunman said he was Muhammad Siddiqui, brother of Pakistani Al-Qaeda-affiliated Aafia Siddiqui, who is serving an 86-year prison sentence for multiple felonies including trying to kill US soldiers. The FBI, however, said that they were not able to confirm his identity.

“Lady Al-Qaeda” or Aafia Siddiqui taught herself how to make bombs in order to commit other terrorist attacks on American soil. She is seen as a “freedom fighter” and hero by other Jihadists.

According to the Justice Department:

“With the sentence imposed by the court, Siddiqui has been held accountable for her crimes.  Inspired by radical Islam, Siddiqui and her co-defendant researched and taught each other how to construct bombs to be used on American soil against law enforcement and military targets,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers. “They were thwarted by the excellent work of the agents, analysts and prosecutors who are responsible for this investigation and prosecution.  For this, we are grateful.”

This is the same Aafai Siddiqui that CAIR, Council on American Islamic Relations, wants to release from prison because they claim she is being held there unjustly. CAIR has gone so far as to hold press conferences and events supporting Aafai Siddiqui. They are openly supporting convicted terrorists that wish to harm American Military on U.S. soil.

Now, the man claiming to be the brother of “Lady Al-Qaeda” is holding Jews hostage and ranting about Islam and allegedly the Palestinian conflict, demanding they release his “sister.”

Most news agencies are questioning if this is an attack on religion or an antisemitic attack. This is a jihadist antisemitic attack that specifically targeted Jews on their holy day of rest, Shabbat.

The Rabbi of Beth Israel Synagogue, Charlie Cytron-Walker, leads the reformed congregation. The Congregation Beth Israel website describes Rabbi Charlie Cytron Walker:

“Since Rabbi Charlie arrived at CBI he has worked to bring a sense of spirituality, compassion, and learning into the lives of our community. He loves finding a connection with people of every age and strives to carry forward the CBI tradition of welcoming all who enter into our congregation, from interfaith families to LGBT individuals and families to those seeking to find a spiritual home in Judaism, along with all others. In the community, he has developed positive relationships with local school districts and has organized interfaith gatherings including National Day of Prayer events and a memorial service on the tenth anniversary of 9/11. He is a past President of the South West Association of Reform Rabbis and serves on the steering committee of Peace Together.”

International terrorism hasn’t ended. It didn’t stop when Islamists assassinated Meir Kahane in 1990 in the streets of New York after a speech, after the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, or the 9/11 attack, and it isn’t going to stop in 2022. This is just another attack by a Jihadist in America based on Jew-hatred and hatred of Western Ideology.

Updates will be added as we know more about the motivations and identity of the attacker.
