According to the Center for Responsive Politics (opensecrets.org), based on data released on February 3rd, 2020, Hillary Clinton accepted more money from Facebook in 2016 ($491,142) than they have ever given to any one single Congressional or Presidential candidate in any one election cycle ($95,857, Barack Obama 2012).
In 2016, she accepted 512% more than Barack Obama accepted in 2012.
Clinton in 2016 also received more than 13 times (1,383%) what Obama received in 2008 ($35,500).
And in 2016, she accepted more than 40% of the money Facebook gave out to all candidates prior to 2016.
Clinton owned 19.31% of the money Facebook gave to all candidates through the 2016 election cycle since Facebook started giving money to Congressional and Presidential candidates in 2006.
Even if we include all of the money Facebook gave to candidates in their entire history through the 2016 election cycle ($2,584,320), Hillary still had 19.00% of that from the money she received in 2016 exclusively.
So you could say Hillary Clinton owns a significant amount of influence at Facebook.
Including the 2020 election cycle from the most recent FEC data as of February 3rd, 2020, she has received 10.16% of the money ($499,042) Facebook has given to all candidates in their entire history.
For all time, Obama has accepted $132,907 from Facebook and owns 2.71% of that.
So Clinton owns more than 375% of what Obama has received from Facebook.
Facebook has given $4,910,411 to all candidates in their history.
As of February 19th, 2020, Hillary Clinton is the only Congressional or Presidential candidate in Facebook’s history to accept $95,858 or more in one election cycle.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics (opensecrets.org) website, based on data released by the FEC on February 21st, 2020, Bernie Sanders is the only other candidate to accept more than $95,858 or more in one election cycle.
He currently has accepted $104,412 from Facebook in the 2020 election cycle.
No one else is likely to top the $491,142 Hillary Clinton received from Facebook in 2016. The only person who may be able to top that is Hillary Clinton herself.
Barack Obama also owned 70.71% of the money Facebook gave to all Congressional and Presidential candidates in 2008.
No future candidate is likely going to own that percentage of money from Facebook ever again. Not even Hillary Clinton.
Also, Obama owned just 19.82% of the money Facebook gave to all candidates in 2012.
But Hillary Clinton owned nearly double that percentage in 2016 (35.44%), had $395,285 more money than what Obama received in 2012 and she still lost to Donald Trump!
Based on that information, it shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Hillary Clinton clearly wasn’t effective in her Facebook advertisement campaigns in 2016. Or she was just a terrible candidate. Or both.
What?! Do you or does anybody think Hillary Clinton needed 70.71% of the money Facebook gave to all candidates in 2016 (like Obama in 2008) to win the Presidential election?
She would have needed $980,000.30 in 2016 if the money Facebook gave to all candidates was redistributed.
Facebook has given less money to all candidates than the previous election cycle only once. The only time was in 2010 when Facebook gave $29,150. In 2008, Facebook gave $50,205.
The question now is, how much money will Facebook give away to candidates in 2020?
If Facebook gives away more money in 2020 than they did 2018, they will be giving away more than $1,564,254.
That could indicate Hillary Clinton is running for President and probably won the Democratic Party presidential nomination again.
But it also will probably indicate that the Democrats are serious about taking back the Senate and the Presidency, since they currently own the House of Representatives here in 2020.
If Facebook gives away more money in 2020 than they did in the election cycle before the last election cycle (2016), Facebook will be giving away more than $1,385,943 to Congressional and Presidential candidates.
At the moment, if we assume we are 40 percent of the way through the 2020 election cycle, Facebook will be giving candidates a total of more than $1.9 million.
But this is the year 2020 where Republicans badly want President Trump to be re-elected so that their First and Second Amendment rights will be protected for 4 more years.
Democrats, on the other hand, are hell-bent on making sure Trump (or any Republican for that matter) doesn’t win in 2020 and will do almost anything to see that result happen.
People need to realize that in 2020 Republicans and Democrats will butt heads like never before.
So don’t be surprised if Facebook gives candidates more than they gave in 2018 ($1,564,254), or more than $2 million when we’re all said and done at the end of the 2020 election cycle.
…………………………………….
As of February 19th, 2020, Hillary has 9.71 million people who “Like” her Facebook page while 9.63 million “Follow” her Facebook page.
Clinton has 26.7 million followers on Twitter (as of February 19th, 2020) and hasn’t really used that to her advantage in the past two years as she has barely gained 5 million additional followers since January 17th, 2018, the day of Donald Trump’s Fake News awards on Twitter.
She had roughly 21.4 million followers on Twitter on January 17th, 2018, and roughly 21.6 million on February 17th, 2018.
Don’t believe me?
As of February 19th, 2020, Trump has 26 milllion “Likes” on Facebook and 27.58 million “Follows” on Facebook.
Just think how many more Facebook “Likes” and “Follows” Trump could have on Facebook if people weren’t afraid of losing their jobs to show their support for their political candidates that they believe in.
I mean not even half of the total number of people who voted for Donald Trump in 2016 “Like” or even “Follow” his Facebook page.
And, of course, the same thing can be said for Hillary Clinton.
Donald Trump has 72.7 million followers on Twitter (as of February 19th, 2020) and probably would have a lot more Twitter followers if we assume he is being “heavily censored” by Twitter while Hillary probably isn’t being censored at all.
On January 17th, 2018, Trump had approximately 46.8 million Twitter followers and on February 17th, 2018, he had approximately 47.9 million Twitter followers.
So President Trump has gained approximately 25.9 million Twitter followers since January 17th, 2018.
As of February 19th, 2020, Clinton also has 4.59 million people who follow her on Instagram. She has 129,000 subscribers on YouTube.
Trump has 17.5 million Instagram followers and 270,000 YouTube subscribers (as of February 19th, 2020).
