In what is being investigated by police as a hate crime against Jews, the Nessah Synagogue in Beverly Hills, California was vandalized on Friday night.
According to police, a lone male suspect broke the windows of Nessah Synagogue and destroyed the prayer books and prayer shawls inside the synagogue. Nessah Synagogue is a Persian Jewish synagogue.
In a statement police said:
“He (the suspect) moved through the synagogue, heavily ransacking the interior. He overturned furniture and distributed brochures and material throughout the interior. He damaged several Jewish relics, but fortunately the main Torah scrolls survived unscathed. Although police are investigating the crime as a hate crime, the suspect left no markings or overt signs of anti-Semitism.”
Luckily, nobody was injured in the act of vandalism, but the Jewish community of Beverly Hills is on edge and high alert, given that attacks on Jews in America are at an all time high, and Hanukkah is five days away.
It is undeniable that Jew hatred is increasing in America. The assault on Nessah Synagogue comes just days after members of the Black Hebrew Israelites, an anti-Jewish Black supremacist group with ties to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, killed six people, including a police office, at a Kosher store in Jersey City. It is worth noting that Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar have expressed support for the Nation of Islam and Black Hebrew Israelites.
Democrats in Congress have refused to condemn the Jew hatred from AOC, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, choosing to otherwise amplify their anti-Semitism and glorify their hatred of Jews and Israel by calling all criticism of their behavior “Islamophobic” and rewarding the Congressional jihadists with magazine covers and appearances on late night comedy shows.
According to the Beverly Hills Police Department, police received a call shortly after 7 am on Saturday morning after a synagogue employee discovered the synagogue had been vandalized. Security footage captured the suspect on video, and police are asking anyone with information about the attack to call the Beverly Hills Police Department at 310-285-2125.
