After the release of Kanye West’s decidedly pro-Christian album, Jesus is King, Donald Trump Jr. hailed West as a “pioneer” for helping to shift American culture back towards traditional values.

“Kanye West is cracking the culture code. @kanyewest’s new album #JesusIsKing is the epitome of fearless creativity and “dangerous, unapproved” ideas. Leftists always try to silence those who are speaking truth. They’re waging a war on our family and culture. Kanye is a pioneer,” he said on Twitter.

The album, which features 11 songs, all of them with a pro-Christian message, has been blasting that message across the airwaves.

West joined “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” a historically leftist program, where he espoused Christian values to the live audience and Americans watching at home.

“And I have a family,” he told Kimmel. “I have four children, I’ve been married for five years, and the perspective – because you asked me a question last year: ‘Did having a daughter change my life’ – and I’ve completely turned around from what my perspective was last year to where it is now, and I feel like there’s so few individuals in a position like mine to be able to give their opinion and stand up and say this is what family is about. And I feel that God is using me and using the choir and using my family to show off.”

Trump Jr.’s praise of West’s album garnered support among right-wing Twitter users.

“They’re waging a war on Jesus Christ. They are going to lose,” free speech platform GAB said, responding to Trump Jr.’s comment about liberals trying to silence truth-speakers.

It also garnered hatred among the political left, which is sort of a barometer of the effectiveness of the messaging.

“Congrats on becoming a music critic, dude. Your $50 check will arrive in 4 months,” said leftist former Newsweek writer Zach Schonfeld.

As always, petulant gnat Tony Posnanski who breaks Twitter’s terms of service every time he tweets, but somehow remains unpunished, entered Trump Jr.’s Twitter messages to spill his vitriolic bile.

“The album is shit and so are you,” he replied.

West has become famous (or infamous, depending on which side of the political spectrum one lies) for donning a MAGA cap and attending a meeting in the Oval Office with President Donald J. Trump.

He has also been outspoken about the control that the Democratic Party has over black voters, which he views as an impediment to the black community.

“You are quite easily controlled if they know everybody gonna be blue [Democrat]. If you go to a white [person] bar, you gonna hear people talking Independent, you gonna hear people talking Democrat, you gonna hear people talking Republican,” West said. “Democrats had us voting for Democrats with food stamps for years. What are you talking about guns in the 80s, taking the fathers out the home, Plan B, lowering our votes, making us abort children.”

The newfangled alliance between the Christian right and West, a rapper, has broken the traditional cultural norms of Hollywood’s leftist domination. That is great news for conservatives – as Trump Jr. noted – and terrible news for leftists, as West’s courage could inspire others to break ranks.
