As news trickles out about the ramifications of California’s 2015 sex education law, some conservative commentators are wondering whether the state has essentially legalized pedophilia.
According to a Christian Post story from May, part of the sex ed curriculum in California schools involves “condom relay races 10- and 11-year-old girls have been participating in at schools where, in front of boys, they’re taught how to put a condom on a model of an erect adult male penis.”
This exercise is not only practiced “in front of boys,” but presumably in front of fully grown adult teachers, who are supervising sexual acts by children as young as 10 years old. Such lewd activities are blurring the lines between sex education, which has been taught for decades in public schools, and outright pedophilia.
Christian Post also noted that “students as young as 11… are also being taught to engage in risky sexual acts, such as experimenting with oral and anal sex with their ‘partner.'”
Quin Hillyer of The Washington Examiner, known mostly for spewing anti-Trump bile, had a rare good take when he noted the following in a June piece:
“If you don’t understand why these things are hideously wrong — if you are not repulsed by it — you’re hopeless,” Hillyer said. “The hypersexualization of students at such young ages is nothing short of child abuse. Adults who engage in such “instruction” of children should not be able to hide behind the idea that it is educational. They belong in jail.”
“Outside of a school setting, this very same conduct would verge upon or cross the line of lewd conduct with a minor,” he continued. “In other states with more traditional sensibilities, it might actually trigger prosecution. And rightly so.”
Worse still, LGBT curriculum has been foisted upon California public school children, regardless of the religious beliefs of their families. Though parents are allowed to opt their children out of some of the disgusting sex ed practices listed above, they are not allowed to remove them from coursework that teaches gender fluidity.
“The new guidance for public and charter schools statewide is the first in the nation to require that students be taught lessons on transgender topics starting in pre-K and kindergarten,” Christian Post reported. “While parents can opt their children out of sex ed lessons on sexual health, they cannot take their children out of class when lessons are being taught about gender fluidity and same-sex marriage.”
The LGBT agenda has been a hotly contested point of debate within conservative circles. Since the political right is preternaturally disposed to supporting individual liberty, the legalization of same sex marriage was viewed by most conservatives as non-problematic.
But since then, there seems to have been an acceleration on behalf of the LGBT crowd – one that leans towards pushing LGBT beliefs to anyone and everyone, even in public spaces, outside the privacy of their own homes. This is where conservatives have begun to take issue, and the forced radical sex ed and gender fluidity curriculum in California public schools can be rightly seen as an overstep of the boundaries of individual liberty.
