Friday was an important day in the timeline of the “Russian collusion” hoax, as the Department of Justice announced that it has opened a criminal investigation into the origins of the “collusion” hysteria. Simultaneously, it was reported that former CIA director John Brennan allegedly fabricated ties between the Trump campaign and foreign intelligence. Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper stumbled through an interview on CNN just minutes after learning that he was under investigation, and immediately threw former president Barack H. Obama under the bus, saying that whatever he might have done, he was simply following Obama’s orders. At the same time, Gen. Michael Flynn’s attorneys presented evidence in a court briefing that Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents tampered with the 302 forms – notes from his sworn interviews with the FBI – before he was charged with lying to the law enforcement entity. His lawyer is now demanding that the charges be dropped.
This reporter, for the record, is skeptical about whether this new criminal probe, or any of the new information revealed Friday will lead to justice in what was obviously a political ploy to damage Trump’s campaign, and subsequently his presidency.
Now for the reactions.
Trump weighed in on Twitter, as he is keen on doing. He launched a four-tweet thread of a Fox News report.
“General Michael Flynn’s attorney is demanding that charges be immediately dropped after they found that FBI Agents manipulated records against him. They say that James Clapper told a reporter to ‘take a kill shot at Flynn.’ This has been a complete setup of Michael Flynn. They exonerated him completely of being an agent of Russia (Recently Crooked Hillary charged Tulsi Gabbard & Jill Stein with the same thing-SICK), and yet Mr. Comey still runs to the White House on February 14 and conjures up the Obstruction of Justice narrative against the President when Flynn had been cleared of everything long before that. The DOJ is withholding a lot of evidence & information, as are Clapper & Brennan & all of the people who participated in the complete setup of Michael Flynn,” he said, quoting a news report.
“(Terrible!) Sidney Powell. This is a disgrace!” he added. “Thank you [Fox & Friends]! Hopefully this is just the beginning of a massive story of injustice and treason. You will never learn this from the corrupt LameStream Media who get Pulitzer Prizes for reporting the story totally wrong. The ones who report it right get only RESPECT!”
Reporter Sara Carter, who has long been wise to the Deep State’s coup attempt, reported the following in regards to Flynn.
“His indictment was one of the most egregious and most apparent set-ups that occurred during the FBI’s now debunked and extremely flawed probe into President Trump’s campaign and Russia,” she said.
Many noticed Clapper’s nervousness during his interview on CNN.
“Wow, Obama’s DIA Chief James Clapper is already folding like a cheap lawn chair. In full view of everyone. On cable news. Right now,” OAN’s Emerald Robinson said.
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) did some noticing of his own.
“Today I’m reminded once again: the ones who were the loudest voices in spreading the Russian collusion hoax now also seem to be the ones most determined to prevent the truth about its origins from coming to light. Very, very interesting,” he said on Twitter.
Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) stood with the president, too.
“There clearly was so much wrongdoing in how the Trump-Russia collusion charge was worked up by the last admin’s DOJ/FBI & others. It’s a new day and a perfect time for transparency, accountability & justice!” he said.
It certainly feels as though the tides are turning against the bad actors in government who used their powers against a duly elected president and his campaign. Keep up with LauraLoomer.us for the latest.
