The United Nations (UN) released a report detailing an uptick in anti-Semitism, calling the situation “unprecedented.”
“It also linked anti-Semitism to denunciations of Israel as well as the Palestinian-led Boycott Divestment Sanctions (BDS) movement, which calls for a boycott of all Israeli products,” according to Fox News.
According to Fox, the UN report stressed the “prevalence of anti-Semitic attitudes and the risk of violence against Jewish individuals and sites.”
The report seems to blame both the political left and right for the uptick noting the “growing use of anti-Semitic tropes by white supremacists including neo-Nazis and members of radical Islamist groups;” along with more frequent “anti-Semitic narratives or tropes in the course of expressing anger at policies or practices of the government of Israel; as well as “objectives, activities and effects of the Boycott Divestment Sanctions (BDS) movement.”
Of course, the main source of the BDS movement in the United States is the esteemed squad of four young congresswomen – two of them Muslims and sworn enemies of Israel – Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).
Tlaib draped herself in a Palestinian flag as it was officially announced that she won her Congressional race in 2018. She recently took on late night show host Bill Maher, who called the BDS movement “a bullshit purity test.”
“Maybe folks should boycott his show. I am tired of folks discrediting a form of speech that is centered on equality and freedom. This is exactly how they tried to discredit & stop the boycott to stand up against the apartheid in S. Africa. It didn’t work then and it won’t now,” she said on Twitter.
The BDS movement is predicated on the destruction of Israel as a nation, and is no way “centered on equality and freedom,” as the occupation of Gaza is controlled by radical Islamic terror group HAMAS. Islam isn’t exactly known for freedom or equality. (RELATED: Women’s March Trades Jew-Hating Board Member For A Worse Jew-Hating Board Member)
Omar is an anti-Semitic machine herself, who once tweeted that “Israel has hypnotized the world.” She has accused elected officials who support Israel of “dual loyalty,” a common anti-Semitic trope, and she and Tlaib both shared an anti-Semitic cartoon published by a Holocaust denier last month.
Both were denied access to Israel after President Donald J. Trump said that it would show a “great sign of weakness” if Israel were to allow the pair to enter.
“Late morning on August 15, 2019, it was announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied entry to both congresswomen from visiting Israel,” we reported. “The MSM (mainstream media) is purporting that President Trump’s tweet on Thursday morning reinforced the notion that the two women hate Israel, and Israel allowing them entry would make them look weak.”
Both Congresswomen strenuously objected to their ban, complaining publicly that they had a right to visit Israel as elected United States officials. But when Israeli Prime Minister granted Tlaib special access to Gaza to visit her dear old granny, Tlaib refused to go, choosing instead to make a public relations stunt out of the event.
There is only one side of the political spectrum in the United States that could be responsible for the rise in anti-Semitism, and it’s not the political right.
