SpaceX’s Starhopper rocket ship is set for a test launch today after initially being scheduled for launch last night.
The Starhopper is a prototype for SpaceX’s Mars-bound vehicle starship.

Last night’s launch was cancelled just before lift-off, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced on Twitter. The launch, from Boca Chica, Texas, was cancelled at T-minus 0.8 seconds.
Today’s launch is scheduled for between 5 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. CT.
Last night’s launch was postponed due to a wiring issue with the rocket’s igniter, according to Musk.
The Starhopper stands about 60 feet tall, and has been compared to a “water tower” by Musk because of its appearance. In July, the Starhopper completed its first untethered flight, flying for approximately 10 seconds.
The Federal Aviation Administration has revised SpaceX’s permit for the rocket prototype to fly as high as 492 feet above ground level.
Elon Musk has proclaimed his plans to use his heavy launcher technology, previously called “BFR” or “Big Falcon Rocket,” to help build a colony on Mars, send people around the moon and create new transcontinental travel on Earth.
Launching a colony on Mars may not even be Musk’s most futuristic project.
Musk’s Neuralink is designing a brain implant for humans to interface with computers. In fact, Musk’s vision is reportedly to allow humans to “merge” with AI. Musk has previously called AI more dangerous than nuclear weapons.
Some Musk fans are already on board with body altering technology. One Tesla model 3 owner implanted the RFID chip from her Model 3’s keycard into her arm.
Amie DD noted that her arm swelled up after after implanting the chip into her arm.
