Taylor Swift’s father deleted his personal Facebook account after the singer’s fans complained conservative-leaning memes were posted on his page.

The pop star reportedly shared a joke her father Scott Swift shared on Facebook to Tumblr, but the Tumblr post was quickly deleted after her father deactivated his Facebook account.

“Taylor and Austin said I needed to get steps on my phone. Wrapped phone in a towel, secured with rubber bands and put it in dryer on ‘cool’. Put 10,000 steps on the phone, watching golf. Feel great. They were right!,” Scott quipped.

Swift shared her father’s joke, directing fans to his Facebook page.

“This man must be stopped,” she said, joking about “parents on the loose” and “no more guitar picks for him”.

Screenshots were taken of memes Scott posted which derided 2020 presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren and illegal immigration.

Taylor’s new album, which the Democrat-supporting artist claimed has “political undertones,” is slated for release Friday night. Posts purportedly posted on her father’s Facebook, which included a meme listing illegal immigrants as dependents, would jeopardize the singer’s left-leaning bonafides.

“The IRS has returned my tax return to me this year after I apparently answered one of the questions incorrectly… In response to the question, ‘Do you have anyone dependent on you?’ I wrote: ‘9.5 million illegal immigrants, 1.1 million crack heads, 3.4 million unemployable scroungers, 80,000 criminals in over 85 prisons plus 650 idiots in Washington’. The IRS stated the answer I gave was ‘unacceptable!’,” the meme stated.

Scott used Facebook to praise former first lady Nancy Reagan after her passing.

The celebrity’s father also posted a meme supporting police that called to “stop the violence against America’s heroes in blue.”

He also posted a meme mocking Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).

“It is unclear whether the memes were really shared by him and there has been speculation that his account was maliciously hacked and the posts fabricated,” the Daily Mail reports. “However, the quick deletions also prompted speculation that Swift would not want the political posts out there – a day before she launches her new album ‘Lover’ which is expected to have left-leaning ‘political undertones’.”

Swift emerged as a liberal activist after publicly endorsing a Democratic candidate, and attacking the Republican candidate Marsha Blackburn, who ultimately won the race, for her record on LGBTQ rights.

President Trump criticized Swift for backing the Democrat in the race.

“I’m sure Taylor Swift has nothing – or doesn’t know anything about Blackburn,” Trump said. “Let’s say that I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now, OK?”
