After Rep. Rashida Tlaib broke down in tears in a press conference, in which she claimed the Israel government is oppressive and denies “freedom” to millions of Palestinians, President Donald Trump accused Tlaib of was “grandstanding” with her emotional performance.

“Sorry, I don’t buy Rep. Tlaib’s tears. I have watched her violence, craziness and, most importantly, WORDS, for far too long,” the president tweeted. “Now tears? She hates Israel and all Jewish people. She is an anti-Semite. She and her 3 friends are the new face of the Democrat Party. Live with it!”

In a press conference in the Oval Office later in the day, Trump double doubled down on his criticism of Tlaib warning, Jewish Americans who vote for Democrats “show either total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.”

“I don’t buy it,” Trump said of Tlaib’s emotional breakdown. “I don’t buy it for a second because I’ve seen her in a very vicious mood at campaign rallies before she was a congresswoman.”

The Democrat Party’s championing of the Muslim congresswomen, who were barred from entering Israel over their insistence on ending international support to the country, demonstrates how the party is mainstreaming anti-Semitism, Trump warned.

“Five years ago, the concept of even talking about this — even three years ago — of cutting off aid to Israel because of two people that hate Israel and hate Jewish people — I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation,” Trump added. “Where has the Democratic Party gone? Where have they gone where they’re defending these two people over the State of Israel?”

He added, “I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat — it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.”

Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Monday condemned Israel for banning them from the country and urged Congress to “conduct oversight” regarding U.S. aid to the Jewish state.

Tlaib, who canceled her trip to Israel after the Israeli government reversed its decision and permitted her to visit on “humanitarian grounds,” began weeping during the presser as she decried the conditions her Palestinian grandmother lives under in the West Bank.

“She said I’m her dream manifested,” the Democrat lawmaker said of her grandmother, as she wiped tears from her face. “I’m her free bird so why would I come back and be caged and bow down.”

Lawmakers “have a responsibility to conduct oversight over our government’s foreign policy and what happens with the millions of dollars we send in aid,” Omar added.

Tlaib choked up describing the trauma she endured when visiting Jerusalem as a child.

“As a young girl visiting Palestine to see my grandparents and extended family, I watched as my mother had to go through dehumanizing checkpoints – even though she was a United States citizen and a proud American,” she said.
