According to reports on Monday, convicted sex offender and multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein signed his will only two days before his death, which has been ruled a suicide.

“Jeffrey Epstein’s will has been filed in the US Virgin Islands, and it shows that he signed it Aug. 8 — two days before he hanged himself in his Manhattan jail cell, according to court papers exclusively obtained by The Post on Monday,” The New York Post reported.

Epstein’s alleged suicide has been notoriously questioned by – well – everyone, given that he had high-level connections in business and politics and was being held without bail for a trial on charges involving sex with children.

Citing a legal expert, The Post report said that the will was fairly standard, except for the date on which it was signed.

“What is more unusual is the date, the fact that all of this was done just days before he died,” the expert, who asked to remain anonymous, said. “He probably knew he was going to take his own life or may have thought he could have been murdered in jail.”

Not even Epstein’s attorneys seem to believe that he killed himself, which was the conclusion made by New York City’s chief medical examiner Dr. Barbara Sampson and announced Friday.

Attorneys Martin G. Weinberg, Reid Weingarten, and Michael Miller said they were “not satisfied with the conclusions of the medical examiner.”

“The defense team fully intends to conduct its own independent and complete investigation into the circumstances and cause of Mr. Epstein’s death, including, if necessary, legal action to view the pivotal videos — if they exist as they should — of the area proximate to Mr. Epstein’s cell during the time period leading to his death,” they said, according to The New York Times.

Monday’s report comes only four days after The Post reported that Epstein had spent “at least two hours alone with a mystery woman” a day after he was taken off of suicide watch in the Manhattan Correctional Center. That would have been five days before his death, and three days before he signed his will.

Why Epstein was removed from suicide watch after an alleged attempted suicide nearly two weeks before the successful attempt remains unanswered.

Epstein’s will showed that he was worth $577 million. It also listed properties in Manhattan, New Mexico, Palm Beach, Florida, Paris, and Great St. James Island and Little St. James Island, both part of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The will was filed in the U.S. Virgin Islands, likely for privacy reasons.
