Despite coordinated efforts lead by Democrats and the establishment media to label President Donald Trump a racist after his remarks criticizing the “the squad” and Rep. Elijah Cumming’s leadership of his “rat and rodent-infested” Baltimore district, Trump’s support among black voters is surging.

A Rasmussen survey published Friday shows Trump has gained more support from black voters since calling attention to the high crime and poverty rates of Democrat-controlled cities.

According to the poll, Trump’s approval among black voters is up from 26 percent a year ago last to 32 percent on Friday.

“This week’s surveying for the Rasmussen Report’s daily Presidential Tracking Poll has found a bump in black support for the president. Even with the +/-9 margin of error for the smaller sample, it’s a bump that has held up nearly all week,” Rasmussen notes.

The tracking poll does disclose, however, that “It’s way too soon to say whether this is a temporary blip on the radar or whether Trump is on to something.”

While Democrats and the media continuously claim Trump’s supporters are white supremacists, another Rasmussen poll found that 59 percent of likely voters “don’t consider supporters of President Trump to be racist, but half of Democrats do.” Notably, 49 percent of black likely voters aren’t buying the Democrat’s narrative about Trump supporters.

When asked last Tuesday, was asked whether he felt he was “hurting” himself with his comments about Baltimore, the president said the people of Baltimore are grateful he’s pointing out the corruption.

“I think I’m helping myself because I’m pointing out the corruption in Baltimore,” Trump responded. “The White House and myself have received more phone calls from the people of Baltimore and other cities thanking me.”

“Those people are living in hell from Baltimore—they’re largely African-American. They really appreciate what I’m doing and they’ve let me know it. They really appreciate it,” Trump continued.

Trump then touted unemployment for African-Americans has been “the lowest in the history of our country” under his administration and described his administration’s successful criminal justice reform.

“What I’ve done for African-Americans, I would say no president has done,” Trump said. “They are so happy about what I’ve been able to do in Baltimore and other Democrat corrupt cities…They are so thankful they called me and said finally somebody is telling the truth.”

Black residents in Baltimore and other Democrat-run district are echoing the same sentiment as Trump about Democrat leadership.

After Trump slammed Cummings for the condition of the lawmaker’s Baltimore district, a local resident said the president’s remarks were “definitely true.
