Left wing journalists are celebrating after conservative writer Andy Ngo was brutally attacked and robbed by Antifa in Portland Saturday.
Social justice warrior thugs concealed their faces, as they doused Ngo in eggs and milkshakes mixed with quick-drying cement and relentlessly beat him. He now is hospitalized and reportedly suffering a brain hemorrhage.
Ngo, an editor for Quillette who frequently covers Antifa rallies and protests, posted a video showing his face and neck bleeding, bruised and cut by the leftist group before being taken to a hospital.
“I just got beat up by the crowd,” Ngo said. “I was in the middle of the street and they stole my GoPro and punched me several times in my face and my head. I’m bleeding.”
Shaken and bloodied, Ngo is heard in the footage asking a police officer, “Where the hell were all of you?”
“I had been assaulted twice earlier and reported it to your colleagues and nothing was done,” he lamented.
Meanwhile, left-wing media are defending Antifa’s attack on Ngo.
Nathan Bernard, a co-founder of Bernard Media, congratulate Ngo for fulfilling his “wish of being milkshaked.”
Slate reporter Aymann Ismail argued Ngo was justifiably beaten and subjected to chemical attacks for “discredit[ing] hate crimes.”
Liberal taking head Alheli Picazo argued Ngo’s history of antagonizing activist will inevitably result in an assault.
Middle East Eye’s CJ Werleman slandered Ngo, accusing him being a participant of “white supremacist instigated violence” while reporting on it.
Christopher Mathias of the Huffington Post claimed Ngo is a fascist.
As hundreds of Antifa protestors threw cement-laced milkshakes and assaulted Ngo, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said nothing, issued no statement as violence and chaos erupted in his city.
U.S. Ambassador to Germany Ric Grenell, who is openly gay like Ngo, questioned why the Democrat mayor allowed the violence to ensue.
UFC fighter Ted Kennedy called on Wheeler to resign.
In October, Wheeler defended his hands-off approach to dealing with Antifa when the domestic terrorist group blocked traffic and intimidated reporters.
“This is the story of Goldilocks and the two bears. The porridge is either too hot or it’s too cold,” he told reporters. “At any given moment in this city, the police are criticized for being heavy-handed and intervening too quickly, or they’re being criticized for being standoffish and not intervening quickly enough.”
Rose City Antifa and Democratic Socialists of America coordinated the protest to counter a “Him-Too” rally hosted by the Proud Boys, where reportedly only dozens showed up.
Antifa claimed the conservative group was “planning to invade downtown Portland, looking for targets for violent attacks. They accused Ngo of Islamophobia and promoting Proud Boys.
Yet, Antifa members were responsible for all the violent attacks. Three members of the leftist group were apprehended and charged with assault on a public safety officer, harassment and disorderly conduct.
Five protesters and three police officers were treated by medics for injuries during the protest and three people were hospitalized after being attacked with weapons, law enforcement officials said.
Doctors are monitoring Ngo’s head injuries, his attorney Harmeet Dhillon told local media.
Conservative author Michelle Malkin launched a GoFund me for NgoSaturday night to “raise money for his security and medical needs and to help him replace his stolen equipment.”
“I said during my CPAC speech earlier that we need to stand with those reporting and fighting on the front lines,” Malkin wrote. “Andy is one of the intrepid journalists doing the job no one else will. All funds will help him continue his invaluable work. We need him back in action ASAP. And if you work in law enforcement or private security, please contact me directly to help form an effective security plan to keep Andy safe.”
Supporters have already donated $106,964 to the crowdfunding page called the Protect Andy Ngo Fund.
