The historically Left-leaning and Ilhan Omar-loving Minnesota newspaper Star Tribune has admirably capitulated to evidence presented; simultaneously confirming and vindicating Laura Loomer who had previously been banned for making similar accusations earlier this year. That is, that Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D- MN) may, in fact, have married her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
In her typical victim-hood form, Ilhan Omar has stated as far back as 2016 that “Insinuations that Ahmed Nur Said Elmi is my brother are absurd and offensive.” Though she wasn’t quite brave enough to show up when presented with an affidavit testifying to as much. In fact, the Star Tribune, in an uncommon moment of clarity, commented that “Omar’s reticence is consistent with near total silence she has maintained for three years amid questions raised through public records picked over by conservative opinion journalists intent on proving that she committed immigration fraud. Those attacks, she once tweeted, are the provenance of “fake journalists on bigoted blogs”.
Previous reporting showed that Omar was found guilty of misappropriation of campaign finances. It was in the pursuit of justice on this front that Omar’s sinister impropriety was revealed on another level. Important questions arose surrounding Omar filing 2014 and 2015 joint tax returns with a fellow immigrant who was not her husband, Ahmed Hirsi. Both federal and Minnesota state law expressly forbid jointly filing taxes with someone who is not a legal spouse. In fact, quite a lot of previously known information that the media chose to ignore has recently become of interest to the media, including the fact that both Hirsi and Omar lived at the same Cedar Riverside address for several years. There will likely be more evidence spilling out into the public sphere over the course of the next few weeks and it has to be asked how log Omar will continue denying the charges and claim herself as a victim.
Omar and her team have been unsurprisingly silent on these revelations. Jeremy Slevin, who serves as Omar’s spokesperson, told the Star Tribune,
“Since before she was elected to office, Ilhan has been the subject of conspiracy theories and false accusations about her personal life. Emboldened by a president who openly treats immigrants, refugees and Muslims as invaders, these attacks often stem from the presumption that Ilhan — like others who share those identities — is somehow illegitimate or not fully American”.
Despite the overwhelming amount of evidence, none of the accusations are being peripherally addressed by Congressional committees or speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
The latest report, while over one year too late, is an optimistic turn for the Star Tribune which had previously been found by Laura Loomer to hold a mural of Ilhan Omar in their office. Evidence of Omar’s criminality has reached a level where it can no longer be ignored by serious local media.
As no good deed may go unpunished, Laura Loomer previously reported that Representative Omar had violated immigration law by marrying her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. Loomer also reported that Omar used campaign funds to pay for her divorce form her brother, reported on Omar’s notorious Jew hatred while she was still a candidate, and her ties to terrorist organizations and Jihadis.
Loomer even confronted Omar about all of her criminality on video while Omar was still a candidate. While confronting Omar, Loomer was physically assaulted by then candidate Rashida Tlaib, who was at a joint campaign event with Omar in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the time of the video confrontation.
When Loomer confronted Omar with questions the Star Tribune is only now asking, Star Tribune defamed Loomer as a “white supremacist” and accused her of “attacking Muslims”.
Following her report, Loomer was unceremoniously banned from Twitter where she had over a quarter of a million followers. Loomer has since been banned by every single social media platform, much of which is attributed to CAIR’s lobbying of tech companies to ban Loomer for her factual reports about Omar, who was endorsed by CAIR.
